Tomorrow will probably be my last stand-alone food sale of the month. I’m pretty swamped with family and school. I’ll have big burritos filled with carne asada, Spanish rice, nacho cheese, shredded cheese, crunchy tortilla strips, and a light drizzle of creamy jalepeno sauce. I’ll have 15 (maybe more) of them available at the clinic parking lot for $7 at 11:30 AM. First come, first served 😊 it will be a bit too hot to cook the full day

Hi, hello. It’s me, chef Petty. 😂
Just wanted to take some time to share a little about my “why”.
The other day I bought a “Large” pair of shorts. I sat there looking at them forever, testing the waistband, etc. Thinking ain’t no way but I wanted compression. They fit just fine 🥹
This week, I fell out of the ”obese” catagory for the first time since 2015. Sometimes it blows my mind because I still be eating everything in sight almost constantly but I think I just am finally figuring out when I’m full. After I quit drinking I fell deep into my food addiction. I definitely still have it and still search for “happy” in food. But I’m not willing to give that up. Food is love, and care, and comfort. In our culture and in my family, it’s in my blood. I started Petty Plates the month I started losing weight. Thank you to everyone who unknowingly supported my need to remain connected to food and joy ❤️

Apologies to anyone who was impacted by my needing to cancel plates this afternoon. It was not the first time I’ve ran into issues of flipping the breaker (The second time I made Birria was a doozy!) but I was not able to make a solution happen this time. I’m not one for putting food out into the world that I’m not confident and proud of, and for that reason, I decided to close sales today. I’ve never done this before but I appreciate the understanding 🫶

🍋Auntie’s Lemonade: Pink lotus, strawberry, white peach, grapefruit, lemonade, optional coconut milk or cream. (Tastes like X-***ed Lemonade)
🍓Strawberry lemonade: Red or Pink lotus, strawberries, lemonade.
Any of the drinks can also be made into an Italian soda 😊
Add popping pearls or pop rocks to any drink for $1! Any order of 3 or more and I will take $1 off per drink 😊
