The bar is done! Beyond happy with how this project turned out and even happier that Rob likes the wallpaper 🙌🏻

It never ceases to amaze me how sometimes the simplest updates and changes can have the biggest impact. If you swipe to the end you can see the before. All I did was use temporary wallpaper tutorial with this beautiful wallpaper and add one shelf and our bar area feels brand new.

Full video coming to YouTube and IGTV soon with total cost, time breakdown and helpful tips.

How it started -> How it's going

Is still a thing? Three years ago we did the major overhaul of our downstairs living space. It started as a dark, wood paneled room with a random stone hearth in the corner.

Was it our style? No. But, more importantly than that, it didn't function for us. It's come along way since demo day 2018 and is infinitely more functional. It was the first major project I undertook and it's one of my favorite rooms in our house.

Although it's been three years since we did the major overhaul, this room, like so many others, is still a work in progress. There are a few details I'd like to add when I get the time, but none of them stop us from enjoying the space to the fullest.

All of this to say, you don't have to do everything all at once. A lot of shows only show people doing their whole home at once. In reality, we often update our homes room by room, weekend by weekend, project by project as time and budget permit.

What projects are you working on this weekend?
