Flutist Susanna Loewy received a BM and MM from the Cleveland Institute of Music and a DMA from Rutgers University. Susanna is a Teaching Artist for the Philadelphia Orchestra, and is Flute Faculty at Rowan University and Haverford College. In 2012, Susanna founded the Pikes Falls Chamber Music Festival in Jamaica, VT, a summer festival emphasizing music and visual art. Susanna is currently the Artistic Director of PFCM, acting as curator and flutist. Susanna's family has a small cabin on Pikes Falls Road (her parents actually met in Jamaica!), and she always looked forward to her time in Vermont each summer. Throughout all aspects of her life, Susanna tries to merge the things that are important to her... in this case, the Jamaica community and music. Susanna is thrilled to be back in Vermont this summer, and is so happy to get Pikes Falls going again. www.susannaloewy.com
