Wedding season has begun!! 💫

Summer and Deven set the stage for our 2024 season with elegance and charm! Their celebration on May the Fourth was sprinkled with subtle nods to their shared love of Star Wars, which made it extra fun! ✨

It was an honor to be part of their enchanting day, filled with love, laughter, and lifelong memories. Congratulations, Summer + Deven, may the force of love always be with you! 💖

So deeply shocked and saddened today for our neighboring community of Lewiston and the entire state of beautiful Maine. One of the things I love so much about Maine is the closeness of the communities state-wide. And because of that, when one community hurts, everyone hurts. Praying for the families of the victims and all those affected by this senseless tragedy💔🙏🏻

It’s finally happening!!

I know the burning question is… “will it say DAMARISCOTTA LAKE FARM” on it???

The answer is yes…eventually!!!

Unfortunately, it was cost prohibitive to do it exactly the way it was done before BUT we are exploring options to make it happen. First step…stop the leaking and put a beautiful new roof on. Second step…add the lettering.

We started a tradition of planting a flower in our garden for each bride. It is beautiful to see them bloom year after year! The choice was easy for this one as the bride’s name is Lily. And she is every bit as lovely as the flower 🌸⁣

This old Farmhouse and the beautiful property it sits on holds so many stories. Stories that date back to 1828. I wish I knew all of them! ⁣
⁣
I am so grateful that we get to steward this historic space for this next season. We bought it in the middle of a worldwide pandemic when the things that really matter became very clear. ⁣
⁣
For me, those things are family and legacy, community, and spaces to gather that will outlive us and hold our dearest memories. Gathering with my family in Maine over the years has been healing and soothing to my soul. My hope is that our guests will experience the joy and peace that being together in a beautiful place brings. ⁣

Today is the first day of a new season here at Damariscotta Lake Farm. Our first wedding. It’s taken a year and a half to get here but here we are!⁣

After working hard through the winter and spring we are ready for our summer guests! The Farmhouse is completely booked for the summer 🎉🙌🏻

This week we have been putting the finishing touches on our event space because we have our first wedding THIS weekend! ❤️

So grateful to the bride and groom who had enough faith in the vision to book it while there was still a gaping hole where the swimming pool was in the space!! Does anyone out there remember swimming here? 🤩

Time for an update!

It has been a busy summer. Most of the changes that we have been working on are not visible from the outside but we have been working on lots of infrastructure - I never knew how excited I could get over copper piping! 😆

We have had a new hot water heater installed and heating throughout the house as well as electrical upgrades and a plumbing overhaul.

One of the changes that can be seen is the roof and thanks to Henry Miller and his team we are so thrilled with how it looks! You may notice that we are holding off on the barn - the hope/dream is that we can spell out DAMARISCOTTA LAKE FARM once again.

Renovations can be stressful but thanks to an incredible team it has gone so much more smoothly than I anticipated.

Special thanks to Tom Durkee of Durkee & Sons, who has been so much more than a plumber, helping to coordinate much of the project. Achorn Electric did a great job too. 👏 It is so wonderful to have people work on the property who care so much about it.

Hi! My name is Tracey, and I am the new owner of the Damariscotta Lake Farm. ( I am still pinching myself to make sure it is for real!!)

The previous owners have graciously allowed me to take over this page and connect with those of you who are interested in following along the journey.

As you can imagine, it's a big undertaking; however, I am SO excited to see this beautiful property come back to life and once again become a place for the community to enjoy.

It will be a work in progress for a while, but I plan to update the page here with some of the milestones, so stay tuned.

My first memory of Damariscotta Lake Farm is coming up from Long Island as a little girl with my grandparents, staying in the cottages and getting ice cream from the barn!🍦(that was in 1970!)
