Fresh cut flowers are here for a good time not a long time! Here is what to do in order to enjoy them as long as possible:
1. Change the water daily to give them a clean, happy water source.
2. Trim stems on an angle every few days to encourage hydration.
3. Keep flowers in a cool, shaded spot—away from direct sunlight.
4. Remove any leaves that touch the water to prevent bacterial growth.
5. Consider cleaning your vase with bleach for added cleanliness. This won’t hurt the flowers, they like to be clean too!

We included peonies as different stages of bloom and by the end of the day, they’ll all be fully open, filling the air with their delightful fragrance! Although people typically enjoy peonies most when they’re fully open, I kind of love them in the marshmallow ball stage too! Anyone else feel that way?
