The Grand Halle offers clients the luxury of creating custom, couture events through the event planning services of Cambria City Flowers, located on the Corner of Sixth and Chestnut.

In late July, one of our air-conditioning units at the Grand Halle was vandalized. The vandal stole some copper tubing and destroyed an internal component, costing us $4,000 and forcing us to replace the entire unit. The timing couldn’t have been worse, with two events scheduled over the next week during the heatwave. We had to pull the money from other accounts that were meant for other essential operations and programming.

We are striving to help our community by saving beloved buildings and using them in ways that benefit Johnstown. We won’t lie, this hurts, emotionally as well as financially.

Award-winning opera tenor Shawn Roth returns to Johnstown for a special homecoming concert at The Grand Halle at 7:00 p.m. this Friday, August 9, 2024.

The program's first half will feature German poetry set to music by Robert Schumann, Franz Schubert, Richard Wagner, and Gustav Mahler. Then, following intermission, Roth will perform a number of English-language pieces by Aaron Copeland, Benjamin Britten, John Kander and Ernest Charles, highlighting the rich tradition of American classical music.

Wednesday, May 15th at 7:00pm

Join us for a rejuvenating session of Healing at the Halle led by Amanda Miller, owner of Allora Health + Wellness in Pittsburgh. This 60-minute sound bath will focus on meditation and sound therapy, offering potential benefits such as stress reduction, improved sleep, and overall well-being.

Kirk Jones of Evolvlove Sound Therapyy and Julian Hartwell of Julian Hartwell Music join us for the third session of Healing at the Halle. While Kirk guides the audience into a meditative, healing space with crystal bowls, bronze bowls, and gong, Julian will take us further on an epic journey through tropical jungle, mountain thunderstorms, ocean waves, and babbling brooks enhanced by his piano prowess & synth pads.

This October, the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra will host Shawn Roth, tenor at their Homecoming: Opera Returns concert With Shawn and Ravel's Bolero. Ever wondered what a Halle wedding setup looks like? Check out the hyperlapse video below! This setup is for a 120-guest wedding ceremony and reception with partial linen coverage (the caterer will cover the rest).
