I’ve sat down to write social media captions no less that 57 times over the past few weeks (re:months 🫣). And each time I just felt 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱. The constant theme and feeling over the last few weeks has been one of 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘮 and 𝘢𝘯𝘹𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺. Feelings that I’d tried to shame myself for having and ignore, expecting the problem would resolve itself. *𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘵 - 𝘪𝘵 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯’𝘵 ⁣

It wasn’t until I faced these feelings and gave them intentional focus that I truly began to feel “better”. ⁣

💍 They understand the value in great communication. They’re quick in their responses, accurate in the information they provide, and go above & beyond to provide their knowledge as a resource. There’s a general belief that if you aren’t over-communicating, you’re not communicating⁣

💍 They want to help you understand, not leave you with more questions. Pro wedding vendors not only respond quickly (we’re talking 48-72 hours business-day versus an entire week+), but they answer your questions in it’s entirety— what you asked, and what you didn’t ask. They help to eliminate frustrating back and forth by asking in-depth learning questions, knowing what you need often without you even asking ⁣

- Layers of texture
- Pops of color
- Personalized Dinner Menus (our favorite part!) These dinner menus, created by East + West and inspired by the couple’s love of Wes Anderson, featured a belly band with the newlywed’s monogram and acted as the guest’s placecard.

Inside the Dinner Menu was told love story, told through the tasting menu.
- The “Before They Met” hors d’ouevres featured their childhood favorite and cultural dishes.

From their first date at , through Kansas City, Arizona, Japan, South Dakota and to Acadia National Park which captured their engagement decision at the peak of The Beehive — it was a (delicious) love story!

What a year. In 2023, we said hello to new experiences and faces, and goodbye to self limiting expectations. We said yes to quality over quantity. And we prioritized being present in the memorable moments of your lives.

With that came a year of some amazing weddings and new friendships. So many new families that will forever hold a place in our hearts. And a renewed sense of purpose and passion— to support and love on the vendors and couples around us in creating unique and meaningful wedding days, full of intention, personal moments, and seamless experiences.

Me to Me: Don’t get your hopes up, babe. It was an unimaginable honor last year accepting THREE awards…how could I even dream of being a finalist again?!

So hearing our business called once more….I’m in awe.

Even a single nomination in any category speaks volumes to the level of joy, of kindness, and of graciousness in this vendor community. To accept not one, not two, but three awards last year wasn’t a reflection of me or anything that “I” have done, it’s all about the “WE”. We the vendor community have made such huge strides to spread love and loveliness to each other. We the vendor community had dug deep to elevate this industry to this professional level, far beyond what I’ve seen in any other market. It’s WE the industry, all together, joining hands to make our favorite city the best it can be.

So it’s on behalf of “we the industry” that I say thank you. That we graciously accept this nomination, with humility and love to each and every one of you who has been a part of making what it is. And that we humbly look forward to handing off our three categories to some other amazing business friendors and mentors.

What I’m wearing this week as a wedding vendor — We’ve got wedding planning and vendor meets, final wedding meets, and day-of errands we’re running this week. Not to mention KC and it’s humid heat 🥵 @athleta has some of the most flattering and lightweight pieces to keep you profesh and cool all day long. You’ll see so many of their pieces in my rotation, but today’s tee dress is a top 5 fave! I keep my meet and errand days a little more casual, so sneakers it is! And y’all know me, we’re extending hair wash day so popping on that cap to pull it all together in an elevated way. My favorite laptop bag + tumbler by @shopsimplemodern keep everything protected and easy to carry as I’m running from space to place. The small size is perfect if I’m taking my tablet, but I love the medium when it’s laptop day. My tumbler is LEAK. PROOF. 🤌🏽 which is a must for me. (remember that time my other st*nly tumbler leaked in my bag and ruined my MacBook? 🫠) And there’s pockets all over this bag…it’s a wedding planner’s dream!
