LIVESTOCK EXHIBITORS!!!

MARKET RECORD GUIDES "MUST" BE TURNED IN WHEN YOU PICK UP YOUR PICTURES!!!!!!

Pictures for market animals can be picked up Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 9:00 – 10:00 am at the show barn (drive thru pick up). Thank you note(s) to the buyer(s) MUST be presented to receive pictures.

Checks can be picked up September 21, 2024 from 9:00 – 10:00 am. The Exhibitor MUST bring back the signed paperwork that the buyer has received their picture and thank you note!!

The Jefferson County Fair Association is profoundly appreciative of the support and generosity received from each of the 2024 Livestock Buyers! Their continued support is invaluable and we are deeply thankful!

While we do not have a list of private buyers, a huge thank you to those buyers as well. Those buyers bought market animals that didn’t sell (didn’t make weight, an extra animal, etc.) these buyers are very important as well and deserve recognition of their continued support.

ALL FARM TRACTOR CLASSES (including 13,000 Fun Farm Tractor Class) is limited to tractors owned/operated by residents of JEFFERSON, BERKELEY AND MORGAN COUNTIES. Proof of residency WILL BE REQUIRED at the time of registration.

Fair week is over so we are cutting loose to celebrate a great fair!

Stop by for a seat, relax a little and feel the beat of the music of Revolution - Jefferson County Fair! Who knows you might find yourself dancing!

Did you know there is an even number of rows in every ear of corn? The average number of kernels on a 16 row cob of corn is 800. Wow! Thank you to JHS FFA for donating the corn for the corn eating contest last night. Looks like we have several methods shown here- typewriter, log runner (also known as around the world or rolling pin), hunted & pecked, whole face into the corn on the cob and you go at it, elbows out and dig in with your teeth, store it in your mouth until done and then chew the corn and so many other ways... Can you tell who did which method in the video? How do you eat your corn from the cob?

If you love milk - why not enter the Milk Drinking Contest that was held last night at the fair. The best part of this contest is that most contestants entering the milk drinking contest don't know they will be drinking the milk from a baby bottle. The first one to drink all the milk in the bottle is the winner. They are not allowed to bite the nipple, unscrew the lid or tamper with the bottle - or they will be disqualified. Then to have fun with contestants, they were told it's goat milk and then soon told it from fresh milk milked from a chicken! Their faces were priceless! You can see them wondering what goat and chicken milk would taste like... Do chickens give milk??? 🤔
