We are super excited to be invited back for another farm dinner with Harvestville Farm!

Crystal Hartman and Aaron Butler of Columbia, Missouri are cooking their third farm dinner this summer. They met in 2017 and in 2019 formed Sol Kitchen a small scale catering company that focuses on local, seasonal ingredients, plant based dishes and baked goods.

They both have worked in various restaurants across Columbia, MO. Crystal was the pastry chef at Broadway Brewery and Wine Cellar & Bistro for several years and is currently sous chef at Cherry Street Cellar. Aaron has worked at Glenn's Cafe, Sake Japanese Bistro & Bar, and is currently chef at Hoss's Market & Rotisserie.

From the CAL's Let Them Eat Art event. The challenge was to reflect the spirit of a piece of artwork in a bite size snack. Our selection was a depiction of oranges made with compressed wool. Our entry was blood orange bars w/ an almond rosemary crust, and a whisp of cotton candy to evoke the art's texture.
