It’s been a hot minute since we talked about weddings!

Wedding coordinators are sometimes seen as a luxury! Often times it’s something that doesn’t make the list of things brides need for their big day! Sometimes, their venue comes with a coordinator and people think it’s the same as a wedding coordinator!

I’d like to take a moment to give the top three things a wedding coordinator adds to your day, and explain the difference between a wedding coordinator and a venue coordinator!

1. A wedding coordinator acts as a liaison your vendors on your wedding day!

We make sure everyone knows where to set up, the plan, we’re available for any questions and to keep them apprised with any changes and transitions!
(Vendors include: venue staff, caterers, photographers, di, bar service, officiants, etc.)

Your wedding coordinator should never be MIA during check-in times for vendors!

2. Wedding coordinators keep the wedding party on track with the timeline and order!

The wedding party (including the bride and groom) should never feel like their in the dark about their timeline or the order of events! Keeping the night flowing smoothly and checking off each highlight of the night is very important to us!

3. Wedding planners should be the last ones out!

Our responsibility is to ensure that your night goes off without a hitch! Even AFTER you’ve left! So we stay to make sure all the vendors are taken care of and have retrieved all their belongings and left the premises and do a walk through of the venue to be sure things are in good shape and nothing was left behind!

Now, onto the difference between a wedding coordinator and a venue coordinator!
A venue coordinator is there to be sure the venue itself runs smoothly, that the bride had access to the venue features they wanted and to make sure that the venue is left in good order upon departure!
They are not there to handle the vendors, the wedding party or extras the bride or wedding party may need!
That’s what wedding coordinators are for!

We hope this helps explain the benefit of a wedding coordinator and the different coordinator rolls involved in a wedding day!

Abby LOVES watching old school halloween movies with her kids and visiting the local pumpkin patch and Hondo Corn Maize!

Abbie takes her kiddos trick or treating every year! She also loves the pumpkin patch but doesn’t go every year!
