The Farm Stand is OPEN 🌸✨🍁

Putting all these rich colors together was pretty therapeutic. Velvety Fall palettes are stocked all day until sold out or dusk. Wrapped in pretty pearlescent paper and twine, ready for gifting.

The farm stand will be closed today until October 5th! I’ll have extras of Fall-planted Spring seedlings of our fave cut flowers. October 5th is the new pickup date for everyone who pre-ordered these lovely seedlings and reserved them (check your inbox 😉) And the stand will be stocked October 5th with $10 wrapped bouquets while they last 💐✨

Never had luck growing sweet peas in Tennessee? Me, too! These are early-flowering varieties that bloom before our heat swoops in without warning. Pickup for these beauties is October 12th and 13th at the Strawberry Moon Blooms Farm Stand.

💕A field full of friends and neighbors, perfect patches of golden sunlight in the wildflowers, children everywhere, even our weird cat who likes to lick peoples’ toes 😆 Tonight was SO FUN! Thank you to everyone who came out to snap pics in the sunflower superbloom and enjoy some fresh bouquets. We’ll have 2 more open photography nights for the last succession of sunflowers coming up soon and then that’s a wrap on sunflower photography for 2024. And hey! I’m opening back up the stand on 9/14 with veggie seedlings and bouquets. Any extra fall-planted cut flower seedlings go in the stand 9/28! (and some experimental varieties I’m trying out) 🍁✨

Have you ever felt SO DISAPPOINTED trying to plant spring flowers? You know, those ruffly, fragrant, delicate flowers in beautiful pastel colors?
You followed the seed packet EXACTLY.
You planted it and then the next week it was 87 degrees outside. Yikes! They got toasted.
Or WORSE, you planted them directly in the dirt and they never even came up?
You've been misled, friend! I don't think it's outright deception, per se, but your seed packet needs an overhaul.
Most of our fave spring cutting garden flowers need to be FALL-planted here in East TN.

This one was new this year! Are we keeping it on the grow list for next year?…

✨YES! ✨ I early-spring-planted feverfew this year and I cannot wait to see how much taller they get when I Fall plant! More robust roots means taller, stronger, flowers.

I’m sharing both a single-petaled variety and a double variety in the Fall plant sale. I’ll need to close the ordering window next Wednesday, so make sure to reserve your trays for September 28th/29th soon. Link in bio.

How do pro flower growers get robust, healthy plants that explode with blooms in the Spring?

We plant them in the Fall! 🍁 And in our Zone 7B little pocket of Appalachian beauty, there are so many cool season flowers to grow.

✨FRESH winter flowers are here! ❄️🎄✨

I’m mixing things up this winter with our new Bulb Garden Shop. GIANT bulbs artfully potted in sleek go-with-everything containers and vibrant moss. I’m so excited for fresh blooms for Christmas, aaaand right when I crave them the most…Jan-March! What about you? Is growing amaryllis for Christmas a tradition in your family, too?
