I hate hacker

Good morning everyone! 2023 is about to wind down and come to a close!
So that's where he went!

Tongue pointed north, headed home!

It's boiled and poured! Only way it could be better....y'all here to enjoy a cup!
Ranch House Coffee! Bout ready, fire feeling good!
Yuck! Headed to lite the fires for coffee!
Very sad news tonight. Beloved actor Matthew Perry has passed away.
RTS sat up for a very special day tomorrow! My granddaughter, "Jaci Bell" Lewis has her local Goldthwaite family/friends wedding shower tomorrow! In the Goldthwaite Livestock Barn! We're set up and ready! Ranch House Coffee is brewing overnight, firzzz in the morning to get ready for Carne Guisada, beans, fried taters and tortillas! Followed by Green Chile Apple Cobbler and Goat Roping!
Goodness, what an adventure this was! Let me just say.....that when I got to Oklahoma City, the STOCKYARDS, and my destination for the weekend...I decided right then, that Hico Texas was maybe the furtherest north I ever was to drive! Plus, if I ever do...again, well, I did tell them I would come back next year, BUT, I will leave a day earlier and drive however far east or west I have to in order to stay off of I-35!!!
I was captured on camera, in route by a dear friend, along about Texas Motor Speedway!
Ok, I was greeted by my dear friend Bill Shipley and Jeanne, and some of the groundmens who were there to assist us. Oh, and John Byrum, "Have Wagon Will Travel!". I got unloaded, 95% setup. We went out to supper and off to the room! I set my alarm for 4:30am and shut my eyes....next time they opened...OH MY GAWD. 7:45!!! I forgot to save the alarm and my day kinda started out behind!
I was a solo camp this trip! So I needed those extra early hours all day long!
I was late with coffee, that was sent to Oklahoma so I could use... Ranch House Coffee and I was so excited, and yes it is very good! So said the folks when I finally served some!
Then, prep began, and I just didn't have time to take but a few pictures!
They gave me pulled pork butts, and I made stew, Alton Paris, I'm sorry but the new spices you sent just didn't fit this recipe.
I decided before I left to make an Apple Cobbler with roasted green chilies! Which I made, roasted the chilies over the fire, diced and added to the Apple filling...I then topped it with sweet Cornbread with lots of Cheddar Cheese! Let me say this, I have a group text list of ladies I've got to send the recipe to! If I can get it on paper! Anyway, over all...I was a great day! Prolly 500 or so folks ate really well off of 5 wagons serving their own creations!
After we all got loaded we said our "see ya down the trail". I made new wagon buddies as always, the best folks!
We were so tired, but off to the Cattlemans Restaurant we went. We get there and check in...1 1/2 hour wait!!! After a bit, Bill text the owner and with a few minutes we were seated! The Cattlemans sponsors the event we cooked for and I met David, that morning when he came down with the supplies, great guy, very humble and just wanted to know if there was anything any of us needed. So, in the immediate moment at the restaurant.. it was nice to know who ya know!
It's time to head home now, but first, I have to rewire my trailer light plug! Seems I Jack knifed turning around and pulled all the wires! So, enjoy the few pictures I did get and have a blessed day! Brother Joe, I'll watch you on line this morning while I'm driving.. way around off I-35!!!
Awww, forgot y'alls invite!
Cooking here tomorrow!
Headed south!
Yesterday is in the books and will go down as one of our favorite jobs. The people were absolutely some of the nicest folks ever. The company was celebrating 125 years of business. The grandson is being transitioned into the new leader, they were all so helpful and so appreciative of just everything! But best of all...a strong Christian faith based company. Made some great friends. I'm truly blessed on this journey 🙏
I would like to thank Everyone for telling me how to do the bypass. I wondered where everybody had been!
This is good to know: It's ridiculous to have over 540 friends and only 25 are allowed to see my post.
It WORKS!! I have a whole new news feed. I’m seeing posts from people I haven’t seen in years.
Here’s how to bypass the system FB now has in place that limits posts on your news feed.
Their new algorithm chooses the same few people - about 25 - who will read your posts. Therefore,
Hold your finger down anywhere in this post and "copy" will pop up. Click "copy". Then go your page, start a new post and put your finger anywhere in the blank field. "Paste" will pop up and click paste.
This will bypass the system.
If you are reading this message, do me a favor and leave me a quick comment...a "hello," a sticker, whatever you want, so you will appear in my newsfeed‼️
It was a great evening, great people and The Back Roads Band was aaaamazing! Paty Bonnet made us new shirts for today!!! They are sooo cute! Anyway, highlight of the event was when we served the last plate....the bottom fell out! It rained! But,it was ok! So grateful it didn't rain while we're were cooking. I didn't get many pics today, but as usual, my team mates were awesome! Janie Garrett-Lori Lake and Mike Mosby again were spot on! Good job guys. Good night and on to the next one!
Fixing to heat up and already predicted to be hot day! Barnette Family Reunion be eaten good tonight! Blessed again, with my friends and doing what I ❤️ love! Great start to a great weekend, hopefully I can get Flea up!
Goodness! It's been 10 years, we were in Lake Charles, LA.
Cooked CFS for 175 folks at the National Red Angus Show! 7 weeks prior to this event, I had undergone a complete knee replacement! Didn't tell my doc where I was going that weekend! Randy and Lori Lake, Tasha Bailey and John, great crew, and a wonderful time! ❤️
June 17th, Cleburne Texas isn't that far and this looks like a fun weekend get away, plus we'll be cooking all day and supper that evening for the concert along with 4 other wagons! So come see us!

Wow! It was a short 4 hours! Served 1000! Just a sampling of Peach Cobbler, Beans and Pan De Campo 😋 and I am sorry that I didn't get more pictures 😅 But...we managed to cook 14 16" dutchess of Cobbler, 4 16" Pan de Campo and 8 gallons of pinto beans! We were busy! Headed home now, but stopped in Blanco at The Redbud Cafe!!! Good grief what a burger 🍔! And live music to boot!
