A wedding day @ Hummingbird Arbor ! It's a treat,everyone is excited,some maybe a little scared.Happiness on every face,It's like a day that the Lord would like for us to live every day of our lives.We all dress in our best,we have our most precious loved ones around us,and love,yes love is on every mind.Lost love,precious love,family love,love of life,love for our babies,words,thoughts,poems,prayers and promises of love.Love is truly God's greatest gift to us.Love you give and receive is the measure of a life,no matter your station in this world.Love,makes you cry with happiness,makes an old man skip,makes a big old ugly guy like me,shed a tear thinking how lucky I am to have found such an angel to love me.Yes,weddings are a treat,so much hope and magic in the eyes of the young brides,a remembrance of that youthful hope in older couples.The little ones,not really sure of what it's all about but they sense it's a big deal.The older folks are most precious,many have lost that special love,but weddings revive that memory of their special day of love and happiness so long ago,and you can see that memory in their eyes.All so special,a new start,a new page,a new starting point,measuring life in before this day and after.It renews me each time and I am truly happy to be a part of each couples special day....Feeling Blessed Today,Hope you do as well

Nestled among the rolling hills of northern Garrard county in central Kentucky,surrounded by the beauty of nature,you'll find us;Hummingbird Arbor Weddings.We offer to any couple a venue that is a picturesque yet affordable place to be married in an open-air setting inside our beautiful pergola.Our service is to provide a more memorable venue for your special day than a civil or courthouse wedding.We do not offer a reception but bring your photographer and twenty or so friends and family and well provide the ceremony. You may bring cake and or champagne and your photos will show a beautiful setting at a nominal cost.The fee for performing the wedding and use of our facility for an hour or so for photos etc is only $300.See our website and give us a call to make us a part of your special wedding day.

My partner Aaron and I were married at Hummingbird Arbor.The people were so nice and kind.It was just a pleasure meeting them.Simple and sweet and unbelievably inexpensive.Really a pretty place off the beaten path and only 25 miles south of Lexington. Rain;the 4 letter word no one wants to hear on their wedding day.My husband Kent and I wanted a simple wedding,it's the second time for us both.We both have grown children,almost a Brady bunch story,so we decided to drive from Louisville to
be married at Hummingbird Arbor.It's about an hour and a half,but a pretty drive on a Sunday morning.Half way there it starts to rain,and it rained and it rained,when we arrived at the venue it was still raining,so we sat on the lovely back porch,and watched it rain.We saw deer,birds of all kinds,twenty or so hummingbirds squeaking around their numerous feeders,played with James and Jean's little silky terriers Ellie and Jazz,and soon we realized we didn't even care if it was raining.We drank a little wine,laughed and just enjoyed this lovely couple's company.They have covered porches on three sides of their home,and the one across the front of the house must be a hundred feet long.So we had our ceremony on that front porch and just couldn't have enjoyed the day more.We have visited agian since our wedding and were warmly greeted.At Hummingbird Arbor,they have a contingency plan,if it rains;they make you friends for life.

We wanted a simple wedding,but more than standing in front of a JP and this venue was perfect,James & Jean treated us like we were their kids,special people.We had a small ceremony,just our parents and siblings,sweet touching readings,we all cried even James the officiant.My brother took pictures and to those that didn't know,the photos looked like we had spent 10 times the fee on our venue,beautiful grand, white pergola in a quiet setting behind their lovely log home.We just could not have been more pleased. My husband Darrell and I decided to get married on a Thursday and were married at Hummingbird Arbor the following Saturday,and it turned out beautifully,I walked down a lovely white board walkway to this grand white pergola.We had about twenty friends and family,and a photographer who took photos of the ceremony. The Atkins' provided a small table for cake and champagne photos,then we all went out for dinner,I swear we saved thousands of dollars by having our wedding here and it was just as special,I just love James and Jean Darrell and Amber Morgan,Stanford Kentucky

James is my Daddy,so when my husband Jim and I decided to get married,I thought of no one better or a more beautiful place than their country home to have the ceremony.We drove down from Indianapolis,bought our license locally and Daddy preformed the wedding ceremony,crying from happiness is a beautiful thing and he is such a sweet man.If he has the time to do your wedding you won't be disappointed.
