Long Post Warning:
Hello friends and family and anyone who has ever supported or jammed with Joker on Jack. We had taken a break last year when Geoff’s health started to really decline and continued that break after his passing in December. Music for JOJ has always been about fun and family and never about the money; for everyone in JOJ music is a way to release emotions and simply do something we all love with talented people who have the same drive.

JOJ was special because Geoff waited to form this band when he found the right people for his idea. JOJ will never be the same and no one could ever begin to replace Geoff – he was one of a kind with a style of his own that made us sound different.

Geoff was always about the music and wanted us to keep playing regardless of how his health was doing and was always pushing everyone in JOJ to think outside the box, push the envelope with song choice and how we played covers with our take to make it more fun. Darrel, Matt and Donna became better musicians for working with Geoff, he gave us all the confidence to do what we love, and we will always be in debt to him for the amazing experience we had with him for 4.5 years. Our debut was in 2018 and we never looked back!

To keep our promise to Geoff the three of us – Darrel, Matt, and Donna – have chosen to continue playing music but we have chosen to Retire the name Joker on Jack. There is no comparison to Geoff and the legacy he left behind. We are taking what was built in JOJ and taking it a step further, unapologetically being true to ourselves and what makes us happy.

So it is with a happy heart that we share with everyone that we have been working hard over the past few months. on a new project. We will be making an official announcement on August 1st debuting our new name and new member of our project. along with a few show announcements!
We are coming back baby and gonna do Blue Beard Proud!
