3 Things to Factor Into Your Wedding Timeline 🕒✨ Most couples have no problem including the obvious things, like getting ready and ceremony start time.

But after photographing dozens upon dozens of weddings over the years, there are 3 important things that sometimes get overlooked when creating a timeline of your big day.

🚗 Travel Time
This is a BIG one! Don’t forget to factor in travel between venues or other locations to keep your day smooth and stress-free. And don’t forget to consider things like time of day or parking situations that might impact your route.

💕 Dedicated Alone Time
I can promise you, your day is going to FLY by. 😅 And even the most special of days can get overwhelming. So be sure to sneak in 15 minutes of alone time with your partner before or after the ceremony to breathe and soak up all that newlywed bliss. Wherever you slot it into your day, a quiet moment together will be something special for you both to look back on.

🪩 Private Last Dance
This sweet new trend is one I am loving. If it’s one you want to include in your wedding day, be sure to allot time after the reception to take the floor one last time, just the two of you, before making your grand exit.

Remember, planning your day can feel like a lot, but it doesn’t have to be stressful. And never be afraid to ask your wedding planner or your photographer for their advice!

A Vegas vow renewal, a handmade pink tux, and some of the most memorable family photos I’ve ever captured.💕 Jason and Amy had their courthouse wedding 10 years ago, and decided to travel to Vegas to celebrate decade of love and doing it all over again.

Detail shots don’t get enough credit.😍 If you’ve got zero vision or preference for your detail photos, it might be easy to let them slip through the cracks.

But those details are such a sweet way to tell the story of your day, through the little items and sentimental keepsakes you’re bringing along with you.

But if you haven’t given those details much thought (or you’re just not naturally detail-oriented!) you might have no clue where to start.

No worries, I’ve got you covered. 🫶🏼 Here’s a list of items you might want to include:

↠ Invitation suite
↠ Jewelry (earrings, necklace, bracelet, etc.)
↠ Watch
↠ Perfume or cologne
↠ Shoes
↠ Rings (ALL the rings!) It’s so convenient if they are all in one place!
↠ Ring Box
↠ Tie/Bowtie
↠ Cufflinks
↠ Boutonniere
↠ Vows or vow book
↠ Letters
↠ Special keepsakes or family heirloom
↠ Nice Hanger for wedding dress

Don’t feel like you need to “force” yourself to find a certain item simply for the sake of detail photos, but this list is a great place to start.

Hi friends! Last year was such a whirlwind that I’m feeling wayyyy overdue for showing my face around here. So here goes.😅

I’m Katelyn, a wedding and elopement photographer based out of Las Vegas, and getting to document good times is the best job I could have ever asked for.

I shot my very first wedding at 15 and was instantly hooked. And I’ve had a camera at arm’s length pretty much ever since.

I could talk about photography forever (I promise I won’t 😆) but for now here are a few fun facts about me!

📌 I was born and raised in the Midwest, but Vegas is my favorite place I’ve ever called home.
📌 I have 4 cats (no that’s not a typo) I’m obsessed with. Liam, Steven, Kevin, and Finnegan 🐱
📌 I spent 4 years in the Air Force as an aircraft electrician
📌 I had my own Vegas elopement on December 30, 2019 at A Little White Chapel.
📌 Current TV obsession is Top Chef and my ideal night includes binging episodes on the couch with Chipotle in my lap.

In a perfect wedding day scenario, I want you to be so caught up in the magic that you barely remember I’m there. But there is ONE special moment I want you to be prepared for…

…holding that kiss! 💋

Those kiss photos are some of my favorites to capture, but unless you’re really thinking about it, most couples get so caught up in the excitement that they end up going for just a quick “peck.”

If this shot is something that’s important to you, aim to hold your kiss for 5 seconds! This will give your photo (and video) team plenty of time to nail the photo.

Otherwise the chances of that big moment being missed are way too high. 😭

So practice holding your kiss with your partner for a few seconds, or even do a couple extra kisses if that’s more your style!

Save this if you’re currently in planning mode. 🫶🏼
