A couple came to my door tonight asking to be married on my doorstep. She was 18, he 36, both smelled of alcohol and she was very nervous. He said her grandparents were going to do something bad to her and if they were married they couldn't take her. It had to be done tonight.They had a legit wedding license and driver's licenses but I thought it was very sketchy. I had to turn them away.

She told their life’s story from the decade they were born to their meeting, marriage, immigration, family, later years, and death. The perfect music and poems were chosen, she created elegant programs, and made take home mementos that spoke to my parents’ personalities. She couldn’t have honored my parents more sincerely and perfectly. My siblings and I are grateful from the bottom of hearts for the love and attention to which she put into the memorial.
