Such a good lesson to learn in life !

A Lesson I Learned From Barbara Walters

As we start this new year, I wanted to share something that I learned from the late media icon Barbara Walters.

In 2014, when Barbara retired from ABC News, the company hosted a dinner in her honor at the Four Seasons in New York City.

Barbara gave remarks about her illustrious career as a journalist and spoke about life once she became a true force at ABC News.

Back then, interns were called pages and they would come past the anchors and correspondents' dressing rooms to drop of their daily scripts. The protocol was to knock and if the media talent didn't reply, you could open their door and leave the scripts on their chair for them.

One day, Barbara was in her dressing room on the phone and didn't hear the knock at her door. So, the page entered her room thinking the “20/20” anchor was gone, but she was actually just engaged in her phone call.

The page was shocked to see Barbara was sitting there and swore he was in big trouble. Instead, Barbara stopped her call, asked the page to introduce himself—initially he only shared his first name, she told him "you're more than just one name young man, what is your whole name?" He went on to share his whole name and they had a quick chat.

Barbara shared that she was so glad she was nice to that page that day because that young man would go on to become the CEO of Disney, which owns ABC News. His name is Robert Iger and he was the man who would ultimately become Barbara’s boss.

Robert also was the person who actually hosted the retirement dinner for Barbara that evening.

Moral of this story: Be careful how you treat people – all people – because you never know what will become of them.

As you move throughout the world in 2023, be intentional about leading with kindness with everyone. You never know the impact your kindness may have on a person!

A social season is upon us !

My sweet Valeria you patiently waited for your day in the spotlight. My last pandemic princess! She waited not 1 not 2 it almost 3 years for her big day to come.

So of course we needed to make this extra special. We took a page out of a popular show, without the spice lol if you have watched you know what I mean. I really had fun with this one. She told me I want to feel like I’m in a garden, I want all the pastels & neutrals wrapped into one.

She danced the night away indeed ! This was such a beautiful day I can dare say perfect for her and the family.

Cualquiera que te diga que “Un Coordinador del salon” es lo mismo que una planificadora o una Coordinadora del dia" le estan dando información incorrecta.

O tal vez solo estén genuinamente mal informados ellos mismos. No estamos diciendo que un coordinador del salon
o manajador no tiene un papel importante porque ciertamente lo hacen. Manejan la propiedad, aseguran de que el espacio que ha alquilado esté
totalmente equipado para su evento, ayudan a finalizar detalles de lo que le rentaron.

Sin embargo, hemos encontrado que los clientes tienen dificultad
diferenciar entre estos dos roles de proveedor.
Para ayudar a aclarar, aquí hay algunos servicios que un
Coordinador de salón no le proporcionaría a usted, pero un

El planificador o el coordinador del día si:

1. Ayudarlo a administrar el presupuesto de su evento

2. Comunicarse con todo su equipo de proveedores (todos los detalles del evento)

3.Supervisar el día del evento,
crear una línea de tiempo y asegurarse de que todo esté funcionando y fluyendo correctamente

4. Resolver problemas de demoras de proveedores, problemas de invitados o
contratiempos en la línea de tiempo/programa

5. Hacer mandados o recomendaciones de última hora la semana del evento

6. Proporcionarle herramientas necesarias para confirmar sus invitados
comunicar los conteos finales a todos los proveedores necesarios

Esta lista puede continuar, pero lo importante para entender es que no puedes esperar que un coordinador de salon se encargue de su evento o equipo de proveedores. Y si no está decidido a contratar un servicio completo de planificación para su
