5 Tips to Create Ambiance at your Dining Table

1. Dine by candlelight, but instead of using just 2 tall
candles on either side of the centerpiece, use 6,
8, or more candles scattered throughout the table,
or perhaps 4 or 5 candles on each side of the
centerpiece to create an atmosphere that can
be enjoyed from every angle.

2. Add battry operated lights to your centerpiece
glasses, just drop one, two or more inside the
vase that's filled with water. Battery operated
lights come in a variety of colors, these lights
come with pull out tabs or a twist on/on off switch.
Price runs about $3.00 ea at Moskatel's or look
for them online.

3. Theme your table and let it tell a story. The story
can be about your love of Teapots, Butterflies,
Peacocks, your favorite soap opera, game show,
or favorite destination, vacation or adventure
you've recently experienced.

4. Be Creative with name cards, dress them up! One
of my book club members, Liz MsSwain, once used
glued a little toy 'high heel shoe' or purse to simple
white card stock with our names printed out from the
computer for our S*x and the City Luncheon, we just
loved them!

ideas, visit your local Michael's, Hobby Lobby, Target,
JoAnn's, to find more creative accessories to use to

5. Consider using stretch or satin chair covers, chivari
chairs or other upscale chair to set around your
dining room table for special occasions. You can buy,

be able to find them.

8 Tips to Keep Flowers Fresher...Longer

1. The Absolute Best Way to keep flowers fresh...and
lasting longer, is by changing the Water Daily, or at
the very least, every other day.

2. Use Flower Food or Floral Preservative accompanied
with your floral delivery or purchase at your local
Florist, Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Grocery Store in the
floral section, Walmart

Why use Flower Food? It allows flowers to receive
Oxygen, all the way through the stem to the heads
it will help keep the head from drooping over..

3. Can't find Flower Food? Mix 1/4 7-Up with 3/4 cups
water and pour into the water in the vase

4. Add 2 to 3 drops of Bleach to the water in the vase
Keeps Bacteria from building up in the vase

5. Make Flowers last longer by cutting them at an angle,
then place them in water for a long drink...flowers get
thirsty after riding in your car from the market

6. At Dazzle & Design, we sometimes design floral
arrangements with fruit and vegetables like cut
oranges, lemons, limes, kiwi, miniature pears and
artichoke, but be aware, fruit can also kill your flowers
if it has emits or ethylene gas. Do Not put your floral
arrangements next to a bowl of fruit like apples or
bananas.

7. Please Do Not put your Beautiful Fresh Floral
Arrangement in a window, while it may look beautiful,
the heat from direct sunlight may cause them to wilt
prematurely, and possibly die in a day or two
Always try to place your floral arrangement in the
coolest place possible, and the coolest room or
away from heat

8. Finally, after discarding flowers and before you put
away your vase under the sink, or store them in the
cabinet - Wash your vases with soap and hot water,
Rinse well, otherwise, the bacteria left from the dirty
water will contaminate your fresh water that you just
bought for your new flowers

Dress Up Your Napkins for the Holidays and Everytime you set your table. Here, I double the napkins using 2 colors, a green silk napkin on the outside, and a rust colored napkin on the inside. I tied some wired ribbon in a simple tie, and tucked a fall looking flower inside. I have a You Tube Segment called

Patterson and & Design, LLC can literally transform any space into a Fabulous Party. Take a look at this client's garage before we Draped Black and Hot Pink Fabric. After draping the walls of the Garage, we then set up a Buffet Table, hung a 6 foot Cadillac Prop made of cardboard, and 6ft sign above the car. The Back Yard and Patio Wall (all green shrubs) were lined with Props of Juke Boxes, Tables and Records. We had centerpieces with Old Fashioned Ice Cream Sundy Glasses filled with Pink Cotton Candy, a straw, and a real cherry on top. What kind of Theme Party would like for us to design for you?
