A new Children’s book, Are Rules for Bears, Too?

This is Teddy Bear! A plump and round little fluff ball of a dog. His mom knows she gave him
the perfect name but there’s one small problem. Teddy thinks he’s an actual bear! Teddy’s house
is in the forest and every day he watches the animals and wishes he could play with them. One
day Teddy meets a giraffe and decides to break the rules and venture out into the forest. He goes
on a wild adventure and faces many obstacles. Teddy learns about the importance of following
rules and staying safe.

The ''Three Falls'' gorge in Lebanon is seen from the valley, overlapping one another and jutting out into a chasm that descends into Mount Lebanon. During the spring thaw, a waterfall falls 90 to 100 meters behind the three wells and then another 240 meters down. The waterfall was discovered to the Western world in 1952 by French speleologist Henri Coiffait. The waterfall and sinkhole were fully mapped in the 1980s by the Spéléo Club du Liban.

Leroy Howard Milton Haynes opened Gabby & Haynes, the first American restaurant in Paris, France in 1949.
—Leroy was an All-American college football player at Morehouse College, earning the nickname “Roughhouse” for his playing style. He was initiated into Psi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi.
After graduate school, he joined the military and was stationed in Europe. During his tour of duty, he would frequent Paris and eventually fell in love with the city.
In 1949, Haynes opened Gabby & Haynes, the first American restaurant in Paris. He later reopened a second restaurant (Chez Haynes) in 1969. Chez Haynes, which featured African American soul food, was the epicenter of Black culture in Paris and exposed Paris to African American cuisine. Richard Wright and James Baldwin had their own small tables at Gabby and Haynes, and African American musicians and artists made frequent stops here and to Chez Haynes while visiting Paris. (Picture 6 is of Haynes and Cab Calloway).
Haynes passed away in 1986, but his wife Maria dos Santos kept running the restaurant until 2009 when it closed. The city of Paris renamed a portion of Rue Clauzel, the street Chez Haynes was located on, with an honorary Chez Haynes street sign.

In the desert of Saudi Arabia, Mada'in Saleh, one of the oldest cities in the world, dating back around four thousand years, emerges as if it were a mirage.
This ancient Nabatean city, located near the border with Jordan, is the second most important in Nabatean culture, after Petra.
Among its notable structures is Qasar al-Farid, a monumental tomb known as the 'Lonely Castle'.
This tomb, isolated from the rest of the city, stands out for its imposing size and its unique decoration, which includes Nabataean columns instead of the pilasters common on other facades of Mada'in Saleh.
The tomb is inscribed with the dedication: 'To Hyyan bin Kuza and his descendants'. Credits: Pedro Arturo Hernández Zeta

These mysterious stones in Romania called 'trovants' grow, move and even breed. After every heavy rain shower, they absorb the rain's minerals, which then mix with the chemicals already present in the rock, creating a reaction and pressure inside - ultimately making the stone grow and multiply.
