time is so precious. as i look back at april, above everything else, i feel immensely grateful to have been given so much time and many, many moments to make the most of life. i’m continuously working on being able to grasp every minute like i own it… doing every single thing i said i’d do and following those dreams that keep me awake at night. april was filled with great vibes, choosing myself & deciding on some pretty big plans for my life. i’m inching closer and closer to being the woman i see in my dreams. but that’s life we take the time we’re given and chase after the life we want like there’s no tomorrow... every single day. that’s what i want to do. i don’t want to be a bystander to my own life and let it pass by. i want to make the most out of every moment. april was filled with a lot of that, mostly deciding to change the way i live. working out daily...because im so blessed to be able to. going after the things i want...because how blessed am I that I can. making the most out of every opportunity i’m given...because im so blessed to be given them.

for may, we have a brand new start to make this month every single thing we want it to be. even as i’m typing this on the way to work, how blessed am I that I have a job that blesses my life in the way that this one does?!! we have the power to make this month as positive, fun, & life-changing as we want it to be! this could be the start of all we’ve ever wanted! it’s all up to us to see it through! happy may & wake up… it’s the first of the monthhhhh!🫶🏽

Wednesday 🪷

A picture is worth a thousand words. When I look at this one I smile. I think I was about 2 and it just makes me happy to see the joy and naturalness of the smile I have… just a happy little one. I like to think that I still have this same essence even at 24, but if we’re going to be honest, the world does alter the innocence you have at that age because of the realities you see around you and that you find yourself in. All in all, life has treated me so well and I thank God every day for that. 💕

Ultimately all I really want it is to keep this little girl happy as can be. All I want to do is to make her proud and make all those little dreams she had her reality. All the places I’ve been and plan to go and all the things I want to set in motion inspire me daily to keep going. I want to keep her positive and confident in herself and to make sure her worldview is as similar as it was to this very picture’s as possible. The world doesn’t have to make you hard. I want to keep the softness and make it my superpower! - Kaeli ✨

Hi guys! It’s Kaeli & We’re back for Wellness Wednesday! 🪷💕

We’re going to take a break from travel to explore one of my other favorite pastimes...self-care. Self-care doesn’t always mean massages, getting some me-time or a facial, sometimes it means focusing in on how you can become better in your day to day life. For me, I’ve always tried to focus on making sure I’m in tune with the positives in my life. This helps me when the obstacles come because I can always refocus in on the good things that almost always are able to overshadow the negative.

My sister dragged me into the tattoo shop and honestly until I sat down in that chair I was down 100%😭(swipe ⬅️ to see me contemplating my whole existence, heart beating out of my chest, as I wait to get my first tattoo). The only thing that calmed me down was thinking of one of my favorite songs ever: Jhene Aiko, “Eternal Sunshine”. She’s one of my favorite artists and I connect so much with her sound. In many ways it’s very healing for me, which is one of the reasons why I chose my tattoo “Only the good things.” I want my life & my thinking to be centered around that statement. We control our own realities and I want that to be mine. 🧘🏽‍♀️

We absolutely have the power to change anything we don’t like about ourselves and our lives so why not choose to focus on the good & all the blessings we have instead of the ways in which our lives could be different? One thing I know for sure is when you focus on the good, the good gets better! 📝 Remember that today on our Wellness Wednesday! I’m certainly going to take that with me to get through this humpday & the rest of this week at work!

This week, now in its seventh year, was founded by the Black Mamas Matter Alliance (BMMA) in 2018. 🪷 We’re grateful for and organizations like it that are working to bring about birthing equity in our country. Wellness Wednesday: Travel Edition 🩷

✈️ From LA🌴—>Cancun🥥—>Paris🥖, from ginger hair to red to brown, from sporty to girly to sexy style vibes...I obviously like to switch things up, as we all should if we choose to! We have the freedom to change our looks, our style, even our environment but what’s on the inside, i’ve learned, is the most important. As cliche as that sounds, it’s been so fun to change things up with my surroundings, my hair, go to different destinations all over the world and my style but I somehow always end up coming back to the original. Change can be nice but through all the changes several things have stayed the same and those things I know are my true self. Learning to enjoy the journey is the best part. Especially learning to love me more and more in every phase.

Introducing… Thought Filled Thursdays 🌱

They say the world’s first novel ends mid-sentence. 📝

The Tale of Genji written by Murasaki Shikibuy is considered the world’s first novel. The main theme of Genji is centered around how the pleasures of life will turn to sadness at some point. And after reading 54 elaborate chapters, the reader is stopped abruptly mid sentence, ending the novel. Some say the novel is complete as is, while others believe there is missing text. 📖

Personally, I think it’s complete. 💭

Hi I’m Champagne, nobody to some and everything to others. Just a girl who actively loves living in her head. Flowing through the complexities of life. Detaching from all things that no longer serve me and loving wholeheartedly on all the things that excite me. I am a part of the TBB family, surrounded by some incredibly astonishing women.

Introducing… Wellness Wednesdays 🌸

Hi everyone! I’m Kaeli, a project designer on the TBB team. I’m a 24 year old from Inglewood, CA. Like most girls in their twenties I’ve been working, figuring life out and doing my favorite hobby… following my passions. Some of those passions include fashion, beauty and travel which we’re going to dive into a little bit every Wednesday, here in the TBB sharing space! ✈️

I got introduced to my passion for travel through working for Delta Airlines. It’s afforded me some of the most amazing opportunities to see places I’ve only dreamed of. Some of the bucket list checked off so far are Paris, London, Panama, Dominican Republic, New York, New Orleans, and many more. Most recently, my parents and I visited Sicily, Italy, which is easily one of the most aesthetically pleasing places i’ve ever seen. This trip (swipe 👈🏽 to see!) was not only filled with gorgeous scenery, delicious pastas and gelato (my favorite foods) but also some amazing time spent with my parents like we have never done before. 🇮🇹

As a girl in my twenties, there are many things that I’m frankly completely lost on. Fashion, beauty, and travel have allowed me to break through some hurdles I feel about who I am and what I am meant to be doing. It’s truly been an unexplainable feeling of self-love through self-exploration and can’t wait to share some learned lessons with you. 🩷

Today we acknowledge World Mental Health Day, a day that unites us to push the mental health and wellness conversation forward. 🤍 Each mental health journey has all kinds of ups, downs, twists and turns but in the end, we’re all aiming to forge a path towards our own sense of peace. Today, as an ode to my own mental health, I took the time to be intentional about my morning routine by waking up earlier and doing all of the things that make me feel good.
