NEXT WEEKEND | OCT 11-12 is the 2nd Annual Goatman Festival featuring a selection of cryptid arts vendors, special guests, seminars, a Paranormal Bus Tour, Escape Goatm and SO MUCH MORE!

OCT 18-19 | Escape Goatman is open both nights!

OCT 25 - 26 | Samhain Weekend is our FINAL movie weekend of the season featuring a movie each night: Trick r Treat and The Craft!

POSTPONED - Princess Bride Creature Feature has been postponed to NEXT Saturday, October 5. The fun is not lost... just delayed!

CLOSED TONIGHT - Escape Goatman is closed for tonight 9/28. The continued rain will negatively impact your experience and present safety concerns. Plus we need to keep our cast safe and healthy to keep the fun coming!

Even though Hurricane Helene has soaked the outdoor fun this Friday, we’ll be out at the Legend at Pope Lick Cryptid Shop for awhile tonight to host some indoor fun. If you haven’t had a chance to play our “Circus Train: Save the Goatman” Escape Game, tonight is the perfect time. Hop over to the Legend at Pope Lick website and book a game slot. I’ll be here telling stories and maybe even teasing info about our new “Project: ARCTIC” Yeti themed escape game coming very soon. SEE our new 7 foot, teakwood Bigfoot statue and have your picture taken with our 12 foot Goatman statue.

Our Story

You’ve heard the stories about the legendary Pope Lick Monster (AKA the Goat man). Now, you can experience the folklore at the Legend at Pope Lick Haunted Woods - The OFFICIAL Home of the Goat Man. The Legend at Pope Lick is the ONLY haunt in region that is based on REAL folklore that has been terrifying Kentucky for over 50 years.

You and your friends will be given a flashlight and you will enter into the dark, spooky woods surrounding the Pope Lick Trestle. In the darkness of the forest, you will step into a world that is beyond reality and enter into the haunted tales that surround the Pope Lick Monster. You may even find yourself face-to-face with the beast himself!

Founded in 2015 by Louisville Halloween, the Legend at Pope Lick has quickly grown to be one of Louisville’s favorite haunts. It continues to raise the bar, getting more elaborate and each year going deeper into the world of the legendary Goat Man.
