Congratulations to our student of the week, Alex! Alex is an Upper School student and was nominated by Mr. Schneiderwind. Mr. Schneiderwind said of Alex, "Alex has been the heart and soul of our robotics team, often taking home components and parts to improve its performance. He is a go-to person for programming for lots of situations. Classmates look to him for guidance in projects. In January he called in to a robotics meet to help out with programming, despite being sick in bed at home. He’s got great dedication, and teammates appreciate it! Last year he served as a TA for middle school and lower school pre-engineering. He often co-taught lower school classes with Mrs D’Alessandro. Even the littlest Lions loved what Alex brought to them. This past Saturday, Alex spent 8 hours preparing for, and demonstrating, Engineering Academy experiences for the Gala guests."

She said of him, "Max noticed that someone had spilled water by the sink. He let me know right away, which was wonderful so no one slipped and hurt themselves. Max proceeded to help me put paper towels on the floor to soak up the water. At that point another friend needed me so I had to go help them. While I was doing that, completely on his own initiative Max wiped up the floor, threw away all the paper towels, then dumped the bathroom garbage can into our main garbage can so the little one wasn’t overflowing.
