*ANNOUNCEMENT RE: MARK CHESNUTT’S 7/13 SHOW AT THE ROOK*

We’ve known since early Sunday morning about Mark Chesnutt’s heart attack. However, we couldn’t comment until tonight’s press announcement went live. We pray that Mark makes a speedy recovery, and when the time is right, we would be honored to have him play The Rook McKinney as he was one of my musical heroes growing up, and, of course, he is a Texas Legend.

In the meantime, we are diligently working to secure another special artist to headline our event on 7/13.

After suffering what is being described as a "heart health issue" on Sunday evening, June 16th, Chesnutt was hospitalized and had emergency quadruple bypass surgery. He has cancelled his upcoming shows.

We had a great night last night with Timeless HTX rocking the house with 80’s and 90’s hits! 🎸🎤 We truly appreciate your patience as we navigated being a server short and losing Internet for most of the evening, which caused lots of internal issues with our point of sale system.

Good news – our Internet is back up this morning, and our team is learning from this experience to improve going forward. We will be faster and better. 💪🏼 We also want to thank you for the feedback about loving our band, the quality of our food, our pricing, and our friendly staff – it means a lot to us!

Big shout out to Burress Design Group for providing a luxurious atmosphere where we can lounge, enjoy a beverage, and feel a sense of community with our incredible members! On June 20th, our current furniture will be replaced with our special event seating for our Pat Green concert featuring chairs with 2.5” padding for maximum comfort!

Also, our kitchen offerings are expanding with plenty of choices for appetizers and dinner, so come join us for our social hour beginning at 4 pm and stick around for dinner.

Last Saturday night, we officially opened The Rook with Legend, Chris Knight, and Hometown Hero, Austin Cunningham. These two singer-songwriters gave their all to make our first Saturday night incredibly memorable.
