NINE WHOLE YEARS ✨

Nine years ago, Ashley Stone Photography was born in Reno, NV. No job or schooling was bringing me joy like I remembered when I was taking photos.
I made a spur of the moment decision & spent all my savings on a DSLR camera.
I spent the next 6 months charging just enough to cover gas to locations. And then we moved back to Arizona, and I started over again.

I spent 2 years buying wedding dresses at Goodwill & photographing couples in random locations for free. I did mini session days at $20-25 a pop.

And now here we are, 9 years later. It’s crazy to look back at those times & picture that version of myself. The girl who wondered if there would come a day like today. A girl who never ever in a million years would think that she would drop her entire fall & winter schedule with $225 minimum sessions and book 135 on one weekend.
A girl who sold all her pre pregnancy clothes to buy ONE good lens. A girl who started her bo***ir business using an air mattress, white comforter & and pretty mirror. A girl who had her first paid wedding rip her to pieces through texts & messages, resulting in a refund, ALMOST GIVING UP, but she persevered.

I AM HER. And I am SO MF PROUD OF HER. We did it 21 year old me. WE FU***NG DID IT. Nine years baby ✨

Completed this double exposure today and I have taken my own breath away.

Not only have I adored this couple through the entire process of their wedding planning & wedding day, but they photograph so so beautifully ✨

Unfortunately my pre booking text system failed me today. There was a malfunction and it sent the booking link out to half the pre booking list only BY EMAIL an hour before it was set to open.

I tried to get the link out to everyone at 9:15 when I realized what happened but my system has just been glitching all day.

I truly am so sorry this didn’t go off smooth this year. I am so sad about it. I spend months preparing for pre booking and hyping everyone about it!
