I wanted to show you the display cabinet my father in law mase for our house 😍 it is built of Bestå (Besta) cabinets. The lighting is also IKEA. At the top and bottom he used a kitchen skirting board. Im very happy with the result 👏🏻 and happy to have such a great father in law 🥰 Love from Årdal, Norway 🇳🇴

Thanks guys for all your lovely comments, I tried to keep up with them but just too many! So I’ll answer some the questions here.
I think it’s a kallax unit, but can’t remember for sure. It’s a book case the rest of the year, the books are still in there during December just pushed right back. The doors are just made of cardboard covered in wrapping paper, took FOREVER to make them! But can re use them now every year. It’s filled with just little bits and pieces I pick up free, cheap or on offer, got a few bits of temu this year.
For 2 kids and a husband 🤣

My husband FINALLY finished my dream laundry room. We used the sektion cabinets. I'm addicted....now onto planning the hallway closet.
* edit - i'm extremely sorry if my vacuum cleaner not being emptied before I took the picture upsets you. I was excited to take a picture not realizing my house wasn't in perfect condition. I also have recycling (cereal boxes on the ground) sorry if this is also upsetting.
Oh and the last one, it is MY dream laundry room because everyone is allowed to have a dream or a vision of what they like and my husband really doesn't care about the laundry room just like i don't care about the garage that he loves dearly and wants a certain way.
This post was to share an idea we created using ikea cabinets and hopefully inspire and provide ideas to all, if it doesn't feel free to scroll on. 😀

Finished my Billy Bookshelf Built ins! Used extenders for an extra row and cut arches out of hard board. Paint is Magnolia “Fine Black”.

School is starting soon. I had to get the kids an area to do homework that isn't in their rooms. So the homework station was created!
I do have a support leg to add still and organize cords.
We probably won't have all the chairs filled with kids. It allows for my husband or I to sit between two kids and help. We've got kids from pre-k to Middle School.
I still need to add decor to the wall.

My daughter wanted to remodel her room but we couldn't afford someone to do it for us. I mustered the courage to do it myself. I measured, measured and measured more. Went to Ikea's website and used their design program. We couldn't use the PAX so we went with METOD kitchen cabinets instead. With this project I learned how to use a nail gun, and a miter saw. The result is not bad for a first timer, I think. Daughter is happy with her new room. 😃
P.S. I am prouder that I was able to measure, cut, and install the baseboards and ceiling moldings by myself. I measured more than 3x before cutting, though. No waste! Yey! 💪🏻😅

Thanks IKEA. 3 Hemnes shoe cabinets with a dressed pine top instead of the individual white ones. Toftbyn mirror above.
Beware - the new model of these shoe cabinets is now whiter and different surface to previous ones so we had to move old one and get more. Loving the finished product though for our small hallway

I've waited a year to get this. I hated the pile of shoes at the door. I never thought the kids would use it, but at least when I wanted the pile gone, I would have a place to put them. They actually use it! I can't recommend this piece enough. Sturdy. Roomy. Easily fits 12 adult shoes... even big Uggs.
It is not decorated how I want it, I'll get there. I want a mirror eventually.
