Pro tip of the week!
Re-purpose...
Grocery bills are getting expensive these days, so use what you can as many ways as possible.
Example:
We all had a fantastic Thanksgiving Turkey dinner, the fam and I also had a ham. So we boiled the turkey carcass with any bones we could pull from the meat and simmered it in salt water for several hours with a miripoix (celery, onion, carrot) then I strained it and poured it into reusable quart containers. After it chilled, I skimmed the fat off the top and now I'm ready to make some soup. Or perhaps a lovely velouté or bechamel sauce.
Anyways, try roasting a chicken and instead of having chicken for dinner, try pulling the meat and making some chicken salad instead...
Just an idea to get ya thinking!
