WELCOME:
Our new event facility is located just outside the city limits of Monroe WI. It was completed in January 2020 and was named from the maple trees lining our driveway. It boasts a large parking area and a brick facade entrance all on a single level providing handicap accessibility. Our covered wrap porch invites you to relax and enjoy the fresh air of county life. Motels and Bed & Breakfast accommodations are a short drive into Monroe as is grocery and pharmacy needs. Major intersections of Hwy 11 & 81 make it easy to locate and easily accessible via Hwy 81W.
ABOUT US:
Wisconsin has been our state location since the 1972 when we migrated from Illinois. Auctioneering and farming are our mainstay. Food service and catering has been another one of our businesses for twenty years. We managed the Wisconsin Cattlemen’s Steak Trailer for twelve years while owning and operating Koning Meats & Deli-Catering inside Brennan’s Market for eleven years. Our four children have enjoyed the rural community life that offers rewards beyond measure with FFA and 4-H, graduated from Monroe High School and each has gone on to graduate from WI and MN Universities with significant degrees. They have awarded us with eleven grandchildren and soon to be two great-grandchildren. Our lives have been blessed in this community and it has been our mission to give back.
GOAL:
Our goal for our event center is to serve our communities with the space to come together with family, friends and community. Our interior design is that of comfort and ease, combining areas for a comfortable seating arrangement to a dining table for games or conversation. Vintage home décor sets the stage for comfort and reflection. Soft painted walls with oak wood chair rail trim completes the light airy homey feeling. Large oak trimmed windows allow the light to filter in and the laminate flooring provides a complete look. Seasonal simple floral décor don the windows and walls with bright colors to accent our look. We want you to feel comfortable in our homey environment.
ACCOMODATIONS:
Our event facility will seat comfortably 135-150 guests in our 60’ x 42’ dining area. An extension area will seat another 25 guests. Tables and padded chairs are included in the facility rental fees. Available cloth linens can be rented for a nominal fee. Each event uses different hours of need so our fees vary upon that need. A typical four hour bridal/baby shower is $150 - $200. Larger receptions for anniversaries, reunions and business gatherings using five or more hours of use range from $300 - $700. Wedding receptions typically using the total of two days will be charged from $1200-$1500. Outdoor wedding ceremonies can be arranged under the maple tree cluster or by the pond for a small fee. Outdoor tenting area is available alongside the existing building with the cost of the tent and set-up by the party and provider. Week-end retreats are available with discussion of need and hours. Wall decorations are to be discussed with us prior to application. PA systems, projector and risers are available for a small fee.
FOOD SERVICE:
Our state of the art licensed kitchen, walk-in cooler, walk-in freezer and handicapped accessible restrooms occupies the remaining event center. A licensed food service professional will prepare your menu with the freshest ingredients available. Traditional homemade style dishes are generally served by buffet. Chafing dishes, china, stemware, and flatware is our customary buffet service ware. Our menu brochure has many ideas for your food service from grilling steaks, pancake breakfasts to light appetizers. The menu will be customized by the party and the cost will be designed to accommodate budget requirements. Every event has different needs and wants, so we are very flexible as to your food desires. Bakery cakes can be brought in by the party. Wine, beer & liquor will be purchased by us or the party and delivered to our event center. All alcohol will be provided at no cost to your guests. A licensed bartender will be serving the alcohol at large events.
