ATTENTION! As wedding and event season approaches us, we just wanted to send out a reminder about ordering flowers for events. There are a lot of events carrying over from last year and a lot of events happening this year. We are STILL experiencing a flower shortage. Please get your orders in as soon as you know you need to order flowers! We have a 2 week cut off time. If you need flowers but missed the 2 week cut off window, you will have to just come in and pick out your flowers for your event. We are happy to help in any way we can but we have to give time for our buyer and the farms to get the flowers covered. You can order through our website at www.impfl.com under the pre order now tab. If your date is grayed out, that means you missed the cut off date. We will do our best to fulfill every order but orders will be fulfilled in the order we receive them.

Summer is finally here, which means summer flowers are flowing in! Yarrow, amaranthus, nigella, chocolate cosmos, scabiosa, butterfly bush, proteas, peonies, ranunculus. The list goes on!

!!!IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!!: We just wanted to do a little post about what’s really happening in the flower world. People need information to help understand how tough it is right now and what’s really going on with flowers. Here are some real and raw reasons why flowers prices are up, flowers are getting canceled, flowers are hard to get, trucks with flowers are late, the list goes on.
There are riots in Columbia. They are protesting due to their political issues. Such as, lack of employment and raising up prices in their country. So they are blocking airport roads and destroying product. So they are making it hard for our suppliers to bring flowers into the country.
Flowers prices are up because when Covid hit, the farms had to lay everyone off and rip up all their crop. Which means they had to start their crop over, which means less flowers, which means higher demand and higher prices.
Trucks are running late because truck lines are having issues getting partner drivers because they don’t want to risk getting Covid from a stranger that is riding in a cab with them. So they are solo driving from Miami, which means more stops to rest.
Flowers are getting left behind in countries because there is limited cargo freight space due to prioritizing medicine and other products over flowers.
Guys, those pretty flowers sitting on your table or at your wedding or event have been through a lot. We are exhausted trying to keep up and make sure we have all the flowers that our customers need. There are lots of last minute cancellations on flowers from growers which means our flower buyer is constantly having to find other farms with the flowers quickly to get them in just so you have your specific flowers that you want.
This is not to scare you, this is simply to inform you that we are working as hard as we can to make sure you get what you order. Late nights to early early mornings. Please get your orders in as early as you can. Please be ready for substitutes. Orders have to be in by Wednesday morning the week before. If you call after Wednesday for the following week, we will do our best to fulfill your request for flowers. Please be nice to your wholesale, florist, whoever is doing flowers for you! Hopefully it will all calm down but they are saying it could take a while for everyone to catch up.

It is almost Valentines week! Did you know we have been preparing for this week since November? I am going to try to share some stories of what it looks like from our side. It’s a lot of work and prep. We started our 20 day work streak Monday. No days off! We will living on coffee and cookies.
