The Brooklyn Halloween Show Presents...

ULTRA BIG MONSTER TAG TEAM MASH UP! There have been matches held throughout the year to determine who the meanest, fiercest and/or most heroic combatants are. NOW it is down to the 4 toughest and most powerful creatures alive and by the end only ONE team will be holding the fabled championship belt! The mere mention of their name

s are enough to send humans running for cover because destruction ALWAYS follows in their wakes. The Iron Golem, Giga Sn**ch, The American Eagle & Ultra Man round out this year's battle royale! Who are we? For the last ten years we at the Brooklyn Halloween Show have been organizing a free live theatrical production right in the streets of Brooklyn. Ranging from giant Kaiju Monsters, like Godzilla and King Kong, duking it out with other city-smashing behemoths, to the Mummy squaring off with the fabled Golem monster, to an old school Frankenstein monster vs Dracula vs the Wolf man, our productions are always fun and always a spectacle. Kids from all ages (and a great deal of adults too!) have been coming back to see what us crazy guys in Clinton Hill Brooklyn are going to do next. Why spend countless hours preparing, organizing and running a purely not-for profit Halloween show? The answer is easy, but would best be explained by a story: In 2008, about a month after that years show a parent came up to us and told us that their son had been re-enacting the Golem versus Mummy fight to every one that he met, his grandparents included. Now, maybe we felt a little bad for the parents having to hear the story twenty or so times, but it made us realize what it is all about. Halloween is our favorite holiday, and when we can share it with others, we are doing what we want to do. Youtube Clip and Press:

Jimmy Van Eaton a drummer who lives in the soul of rock and roll. I remember visiting Sun Studios years ago and they played Whole Lotta Shakin on the speakers. I asked where the drums were set up when they recorded and walked over to that area. As I listened, standing there, my eyes misted up a bit but my heart sang. RIP sir and thank you!

Yeah....this was one of my more favorite clips from our 10th and final Brooklyn Halloween Show. We actually had video segments as parts of the live show going on down on the stage interacting (more or less) with a huge rear screen projected area on the roof!

One of several clips from the last show. These clips were projected onto A BIG rear screen projection as part of a game show in hell which is inincidentally where Captain Jack Cockburn (a dead character from the previous show) is speaking from as he played as emcee for the game show. We ambitiously included at least one or more characters from all the previous shows into this last final shebang that was the 2015 Brooklyn Halloween Show. Some of it worked...and some didn't. PS that's real whiskey I am drinking.

The third Brooklyn Halloween show was in 2008 called Ancient Horrors. Starring a Lara Croft type character an ancient Egyptian keeper of the Mummy's tomb, the Mummy and the Golem. Yes the Mummy and The Golem fought! Tana leaves, snakes, toppling stone pillars, the Golem bursting through the tomb wall....all kinds of great and fun stuff, and we did it all missing one of the key members of the troupe. He never showed up that year, p**f! Just gone. The next year he returned though.

Are you doing anything for Halloween in this strange year? We won't be holding any kind of event on Waverly and the Dead Zombie won't be performing next door either!. I might hand out candy at the house instead. Maybe show some horror movie clips. Don't know yet....

Last year we won best diorama at the show. THIS year our newest diorama won best diorama, best of show, voted best by the members of the Resin Maniacs online modeling group and peoples choice award. Lots of work went into this monstrous diorama. ONE reason we dont do the Halloween show anymore!

Some know and many don't that the site of the Brooklyn Halloween Show is now the Younger Than Last Year fitness studio BUT the energy and vibe and hard work from all those years of the Halloween show is still there! Last week the monsters were in the studio exercising because, welll,,...you know, They ain't kids anymore (most of them are very long in the tooth actually) and know the importance of exercise. If you weren't there last week this is some of what you missed!
