Hey friends 👋 I hope your summer has been treating well. We've been enjoying ours in my home town of Columbus, OH, and are soaking up all the grass and fresh air we can out here.

I couldn't resist setting up a garden party for some girl friends when these gorgeous roses bloomed in our yard and I brought out my grandma's old china 💕 It was sweet and special and such a gift to be with some of the friends I've missed so much.

I know not everyone can say they're doing so well these days, and my heart goes out to each of you. Don't give up, and keep your friends close. No doubt that we need each other ❤️

Looking for a fun craft project for your quarantine days? These DIY paper stars are totally worth your time and would be super cute for a kids bedroom (or an adults 😉), not to mention a party. I've repurposed them so many times and they never get old.

All you need is some card stock (or poster board), a ruler, and a star template (easily found online). Happy crafting! ✨🌈

5 years of love + life with this wonderful man, ❤️ I am so blessed to call him mine, and I still can't believe it's true 😊 I used to think I'd never find such an amazing man, let alone find one who would ever love me. But God is so kind and so good, and he gave me more than I ever deserved or dreamed in Tony. It's an honor to be his wife, and I can't wait for 50 years more of it ❤️

P.S. our anniversary was yesterday but it was such a full day I didn't have time to post 😊

Can't wait for the days when I can twirl around in a pretty dress under some twinkle lights again.👆☺️

In case you forgot what day it is, it's Friday 🙌 For me that means I get more help around the house and with the kids 😉 My 3 yr old + 15 mo old keep me plenty busy in these corona times, though I must confess my oldest watches a lot more shows than she used to. We're all just doing our best to get through these crazy times, and that looks different for everyone.

I've seen a lot of thoughts shared online about the various COVID statistics + guidelines and how people are responding to it, and I just want to encourage you friends that whatever you're doing, you're doing a great job 👍 There's so much uncertainty, anxiety and confusion around all this, and it isn't easy for anyone to navigate. No one has all the answers, no one is 100% right, and we all want the best for ourselves AND others. So keep keeping on and doing your best, and be proud how far you've come!

I hope in the days to come, we'll see more encouragement, grace and kind dialogue around what our world is going through, and come out more united because of it ❤️

Supporting local bakeries is always a great idea, but buying beautiful baked goods for a party isn't always in the budget for me, so I tend to DIY a lot. Classic cutout cookies are a favorite go-to 👆 They're fun to make and oh so delicious 😋

Bunny ears, colored eggs and paper carrots were all I needed for the cutest DIY Easter table 🐰 And I'm super proud of the fact that I didn't spend a dime on it! 💪😁 Everything I already had or made!

To the couples who have had to reschedule their wedding, to my friends who are missing their baby showers, to those who were looking forward to vacations and time away from the kids (🙋‍♀️)...

To everyone who is feeling disappointed, frustrated, sad or angry...

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I've felt those (totally normal) things, too, and it's not an easy place to be.

Even in the midst of trials though, do you know what I've found? Practicing thankfulness is one of the heart's best medicines. And we have so much to be thankful for!

I think after two weeks of quarantine I could be a homeschool mom 💪🏫 Keeping the kids engaged every day is no walk in the park (ha, no pun intended 😄), but it's definitely easier when small businesses like have fun activities for the kids! Their monster cookie kits were perfect for some afternoon family fun. And good thing they give you so many sprinkles cause Grace needs a lot! 👉😂

She's a star ✨ Earlier this month, we celebrated Claire's 1st birthday with a sweet little star party ⭐ TBH I just didn't want to take down those paper stars from Christmas, so I repurposed them for this fun and feminine birthday that was 100% DIY and 50% the usual effort, cause ya know, she's a 2nd child 🤷‍♀️

What's more appropriate to post on my birthday than a picture of me with a cake?! 🤷‍♀️ Haha. Felt like I at least needed to acknowledge it somewhere on here that I'm rounding the finish line of my 20's. Hoping I live it up this year while I'm still young cause next year I know I'll feel old! Lol.

Have to be honest, January is flying by. This weekend we're celebrating Claire's 1st birthday! 🎉 How did that happen so fast??! Then we're going on a cruise 🚢😎 then it's Valentine's day and my birthday and a wedding and BOOM! Just like that it's going to be March! 🤯 Which I'm totally fine with cause, spring!

2019 was good to me 💕 Between having a baby and planning 13 events, it was a busy year to say the least! I'm so grateful for the ups and the downs, the lessons I've learned, and the people who were with me through it all - family, friends, colleagues and clients!

Next year, I plan to slow things down and spend more time with my family and friends - the ones who, at the end of the day, matter more than anything.

(Don't worry, I'll still be doing events, just not 13! 😉) ..

'Tis the season for festive gatherings!

Take your basics up a notch for a festive Christmas touch: tie some Ikea dish towels with evergreens and add some berries to a plain garland. A scrap of fabric makes a great runner, and candles go a long way!
