A massive spray of peacock feathers topped my table for the annual dinner dance at the Horticultural Society of New York. This year's theme was "Couture en Fleur", so we laced up the chair covers like corsets.
Another gala, another tablescape. This one for "Couture en Fleur" at the New York Horticultural Society on April 17. More photos to come. http://inhabitat.com/nyc/new-york-flower-show-30-greenery-topped-tablescapes-fill-a-manhattan-ballroom-with-blooms/

Quintessence - Living with style and substance
Collaborated with the lovely and talented Lindsey Coral Harper on this table for the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House spring gala. My inspiration for the centerpiece was the Flower Ball paintings by Takashi Murakami.
Spring sprang early this year. But we're ready with an array of seasonal blooms. Vivid color. Striking silhouettes. Great gifts for Easter, Mother's Day, or any other day.
These canvases were painted by my great-grandfather, Hermann Dudley Murphy (1867-1945). Murphy was a Boston-based painter of portraits, landscapes (in the Tonalist style of Whistler), and dozens of these exquisite floral still lifes.
Thanks to Marisa at Stylebeat for some great coverage of the 2012 Orchid Dinner at the Mandarin Oriental hotel, once again benefiting the New York Botanical Garden. The main ingredients for my table were glossy red lacquer and gilded circles. And the orchids are yellow oncidium. More photos soon.
