NEWS | The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah:

The Capacity of Umrah Pilgrims will be gradually raised from 60,000 to 90,000 and then 120,000 per day.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah also announced that 5 pilgrims from Nigeria arrived on Friday Evening and 50 Pilgrims will arrive on Saturday pointing out that the arrival of Foreign Pilgrims will be expedited along with the capacity increment

Umrah Announcements:

1) The Tourism Visa began allowing tourists to apply for a Tourism Visa. This also allows visitors who want to perform Umrah. This Visa is restricted to certain countries.

2) From Monday 9th August 2021, Umrah requests will open up for countries around the world gradually.

3) An increase in capacity takes the total of pilgrims to 60,000 per day.

4) The monthly capacity will therefore reach 2 Million Pilgrims from Monday.

5) The apps Tawakalna & Eatmarna are still required to be used by pilgrims for Salaah, Umrah and visiting the Rawdhah.

6) Pilgrims must be vaccinated.

7) Children under the 18 years of age are still not allowed to enter the Holy Mosques.

😎 These measures are in place to create a safe environment for all pilgrims.

9) The number of passengers on a bus will not exceed 50% of its capacity.

10) The permits to use the buses will also be via the apps that have been authorised by the authorities.

11) There are designated stations where the buses drop off passengers and there are designated gathering points.

12) There are accredited Umrah Companies, Hotels and Transport companies to facilitate pilgrims.

In the light of what the world is witnessing with the continuing developments of the pandemic Covid-19, and the emergence of new variations, Hajj 1442 will be limited to the residents and citizens from within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ONLY - (60,000)

The Total Number of pilgrims this year is limited to ONLY 60,000 people, for residents of all nationalities and citizens inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The health status of those wishing to register for Hajj 1442 must be from the following categories: a vaccinated person, a vaccinated person who has completed one dose and spent 14 days, or a vaccinated person recovering from infection.
