A glimpse of what I’ve been working away at for the past two years
The most exciting, and risky (financially!) project I’ve ever embarked on.
I bought this wonderful, grade one listed, 5 1/2 storey late 18thC Georgian town house in Bath as five separate flats that after 49 years of continuous letting and bodged repairs was definitely at the end of the line, basically the worst house in the best location.
Working with the very best, most inspiring and skilled people…. We have peeled back and uncovered its perfectly proportioned bones, and it’s just starting to show.
The decision from day one to only use, reclaimed, salvaged, recycled and antique materials throughout continues to enhance the experience and it does feel like we are putting back the soul of this historic building.

I can’t wait to share more with you as I go through the next phase of my relocation to Bath, the continuing conservation and restoration of this wonderful building and the search for a new space for my antique business and who knows what else.

Few week ago somebody coud not find the George St in Norristown , because goinv trough West Marshall St to Markley St - the streets are not marked . I send a message to our Caucil representative. In his message back he promissed to check into this ...

Yesterday - after long time I decided to take the dog on the leash and walk around tha block ...
Wanted also to see if the street signs are back .
Few minures latter i came home because thie amout of trash .is a health hasard for me and my dog .
Whats happen to the code inforcement, the building inspectors , the public work people ???
I know that the taxes are raied ...
Any thouts ?

Why my Daphne is smiling?

In classical representations Daphne is portraied fearful and frightened. I wanted to re-interpret this by giving her a mocking smile.
The nymph rejoices at finally being able to lose her beauty, the cause of so much unwanted attentions. She knows that she was able to escape Apollo's desire in time, altering into a purer form in harmony with nature.

In the original work Daphne turns into a Laurel plant. The irony is that in botany there is another plant named after her, the Daphne Mezereum, the Deadly Daphne, as it is a poisonous plant with leaves similar to Laurel. The Daphne in my painting, aware of having escaped danger, turns into a poisonous plant, making her unharmed and dangerous for anyone who will try to catch her again.
