Had a great time yesterday in the sunshine on the Potomac (FDR’s yacht that’s moored in Oakland!) at the WIPA San Francisco Bay Area ILEA Northern California Chapter The National Society of Black Wedding & Event Professionals mixer. Fabulous things happen when associations get together. I even got introduced to By BrianGreen by Chris Evans Events & Catering so that was very cool! Congratulations to Events by Lahoma AuroraCatering Inspirations by Gina and the other fantastic sponsors for making this great event happen for all of us, and thanks to everyone for coming to Oakland!

Happy anniversary to these two lovebirds! One of the hidden privileges of being a wedding planner is guiding a couple to the start of their processional, and being the last one to smile at them before they walk down the aisle. This stunning holiday weekend celebration included a welcome event, wedding in the redwoods, dance-filled reception in an apple orchard, next-day barbecue with board and lawn games, and a delicious patio brunch send-off. The guests stayed onsite in luxurious cabins. A celebration full of joy!

This Bali-inspired wedding had guests enchanted and delighted from beginning to end. The ceremony was held in a Balinese pavilion, next to a lily-pad-dotted koi pond. Their rustic family-style reception was held on a manicured lawn surrounded by trees. And the dancing and singing carried this joyful couple to wedded bliss.
