It’s been a while since I posted here! How are you navigating the final days of summer? I wanted to share some changes that have happened in the past year with Alixir Dance, as well as an update on additional ways in which I can support you.
Monday Night Dance
I’m currently leading a weekly dance session in Mountain View, South Bay. This experience has deepened my approach, allowing me to offer more structured guidance while still honoring the freeform movement so many of us love. Watching this community evolve with both new and familiar faces has been truly inspiring.

My Personal Growth
In addition to my work with dance, I’ve been delving into different aspects of healing and growth, both in my own life and professionally. On a personal note, I’ve been involved in an ACA program, which helps individuals heal from the impacts of growing up in challenging family dynamics, fostering emotional freedom and healthier relationships.
Through this recovery work, I’ve found more stability, peace, true well-being, and steady, loving relationships than I ever thought possible. Reflecting on the past, I realize how diving into recovery earlier would have served me. Now that I’m on this journey, I want to share it with everyone I know—especially those struggling with mental health or addiction.
Guiding Others' Personal Growth
Professionally, I’m deeply engaged in my work at Embodied Recovery, where I’ve been supporting individuals through addiction counseling, mental health support, and curriculum development. Our programs take a whole-person approach, incorporating practices including somatic breathwork and embodiment work, individual therapy, ancient wisdom teachings, inner child healing, mindfulness and self-esteem, eco-therapy, acupuncture, and more. Our goal is to not only help people feel better but to guide them toward rediscovering their true selves from a soul-growth perspective. http://embodiedrecovery.com
Over the past year and a half at Embodied Recovery, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing profound transformations in our clients. This includes celebrating sobriety anniversaries and observing significant shifts that have led to deeper relationships, genuine self-love, and stability free from various addictions—whether to love, s*x, other people, ma*****na and other substances, p**n, video games, negativity, numbness, or other challenges. The progress we’ve seen has exceeded what I once thought possible, and I've often heard "Embodied Recovery saved my life."
Our programs can be life-changing, and the commitment level can be significant but worth it. Depending on your need, we have 3 different offerings:
30 hours a week for 12 weeks, 12 hours a week for 12 weeks, or Weekly or bi-weekly individual sessions (online or in-person)
Insurance and Support
We accept most PPO insurance policies and can sometimes get coverage for HMO policies. Please reach out to Michael at [email protected] or 1-888-372-3610. You can also email me at [email protected] if you have questions. We’re committed to helping you, or your loved one, find support. No one should have to face significant challenges alone.
I look forward to sharing more of this journey with you. If any of this resonates or if you’d like to connect, feel free to reach out. I’d love to hear how you’re doing too.
Warmly and With Love,
Donna
