Ok, folks, here's the plan.

Practice tonight as normal.

Doors will open tomorrow at 8am. Racing will start at 12pm.

Weather is supposed to be wrapped up tonight.

We're going to add a second drop to the series.

This will help those who got hosed by the weather without taking anything away from those that made the trip.

Be safe. That's all that matters.

Take your time today. The store doesn't open until 12pm. Practice doesn't start until 4pm. It's been a while since we've had a cold snow race. I guess we were due.

I've announced it a few times during the drivers meeting and talked about it on the HobbyPlex Show Podcast, but wanted to make sure everyone got the memo.

Due to the Dirt Nitro Challenge moving to the same date, our final round is being moved up a week.

I normally don't like being that close to DNC, but all of our winter racing wraps up in March and the 9-10 was the only date available.

The time has come to announce this year's Tekno 1:8 Winter Series at the Hobbyplex.

The explosion of entries over the last two years has caused us to reevaluate our schedule.

We've decided to change to Saturday qualifying and Sunday mains.

The entry fee remains the same.

The benefits of making it weekend races are adding a qualifier on Saturday and using 2 of 3 qual points, keeping the main events its proper lengths and not capping entries.

Yes, it adds a day. However, because of how late we were going the last several years, a majority of racers were already spending the night. The Fairfield Inn has a lower HobbyTown rate if you call directly. (402) 999-8089.

Before anyone asks, I'm not looking at adding classes at this time. I feel our program runs smooth as it is with what we have committed to.

I know this may alienate a few from making the entire series. I never take decisions like this lightly. I feel this is the best way to handle our growth.
