. We are a powerlifting team out of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky. Our lifters have represented our team across the United States, and around the world. We are Iron Mafia.

We are a dedicated group that push to be the best we can be in this hardcore sport. We not only train our lifters, but we have opened our doors to numerous guest lifters, and professional strength athletes. Our gym runs several RPS meets in Kentucky and surrounding states yearly. Our primary goal is to have our lifters achieve Elite status, and beyond that to build a brotherhood, and group that is as united on the platform as it is off.

As I try to wrap up the weekend and contemplate this post i can’t help but be speech less a little. There is soooo much to be thankful for over the past 10+ years in this sport. I honestly don’t even know where to begin. We have had many ups and many downs. But no matter what you guys always had our backs and I promise it never went unnoticed. When we would sell out 80% of our events on the year we knew we must be doing something right. With us family all being competitors in powerlifting we knew what lifters wanted when it come to meet day and we would always put lifters first cause if it wasn’t for the lifters there would be no meets. There will be no one that misses these meets more than us Millers. We hate this wonderful journey had to take a detour but we will always be a message away if anyone ever needs anything.

New update for upcoming Louisville event on 10/10. The mask mandate will be ENFORCED for everyone. The only exception will be if your flight is currently lifting on the platform and if you are warming up for the platform. We are put in this position because of the size of the event and this will also allow spectators to attend. We are really looking forward to seeing everyone next weekend EA Fitness Solutions

We have had some amazing times at Genesis Strength and Fitness we are sad to see things are coming to an end for D Jim Kieper and his family but know they have some wonderful things awaiting them in there next chapter. We are always here for you guys if you need us.

If you planned on attending or are competing at MAFIA MAYHEM on 9/26. We are unfortunately put into a position where we are not going to be able to have spectators attending this upcoming event. There will be 1 HANDLER PER LIFTER aloud. We don’t like it has come to this but we have to follow Virginia’s regulations and guidelines to move forward in having this event at this time. Once we wrap up hosting events, we will no longer have Iron Mafia shirts available to purchase. However we have decided to do one last shirt that will become available for Pre-Sale Friday , July 17th at 12 (noon) EST time.

The shirt has been made as a pre-sale item & 100% of the proceeds will go to the family of Dana Hornsby to pay the remainder of the funeral cost. She was the grandmother of a Previous Iron Mafia member and longtime Powerlifting friend, Ryan Sams.

Unfortunately, shortly after her diagnosis, her life insurance policy lapsed and due to lucid days being few and far between; the family (daughter and grandson) was unable to begin a new policy for her. After her untimely death, they were left with the full expense of the funeral cost.

2020 has been a difficult year for many and the lost of a love one is never easy. If you would like to purchase this shirt or have questions, please call or text Shana Miller at 606-308-1077. We are all excited to let everyone know we will be having our Kilo Wars event on July 25th in Owensboro, KY with EDGEFiT This will be our first event back since covid-19 hit. To say we are excited is an understatement.

Unfortunately the Beast Of The Bluegrass will need to be rescheduled for December 12th and 13th. Due to restrictions in Kentucky set by our governor we are not able to host the event in July. As you all know we have well over 50 people. We have 5 times that in just athletes. We also realize the time necessary to prepare and train for such an event this important to the athletes. With gyms opening in June we do not feel as if that is a fair amount of time for athletes to be ready for the contest. All of us from Iron Mafia and Davey McCann have considered several options and we both agree that December 12th and 13th would allow athletes time to prepare and for the state to be at some kind of normalcy by then. The contest will take place at Fit 4 Life gym in Frankfort Ky. Hosting the powerlifting on Saturday and the strongman on Sunday. Splitting the event on 2 days will allow for smaller crowds and facilitate a more controllable environment. This is an important contest to us and we want to have the best event possible. Weigh ins for powerlifting will be Friday 8:30 am- 12 noon, Saturday morning 6:30 am - 7:30 am. With strongman weigh ins on Saturday. If you have questions please contact us in regards to powerlifting and Davey McCann for strongman. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we push forward during these unusual times.

At this time the Beast Of The Bluegrass has been postponed and moved to July 11 with the venue TBD. Heritage hall (current venue) is being torn down for remodeling starting July. As soon as the Event Promoter (Davey McCann) has a new location we will let everyone know ASAP. If there is anyone not able to compete on July 11 or has not be able to train due to the circumstances of all that’s going on, we are offering a transfer meet to any other Iron Mafia event you would like to compete at in the future. If this pertains to you please get in contact with Kelli Miller 859-893-9385 you can either call or text and she will get you taken care of.
Hopefully we can all get back to normal sooner than later. Appreciate everyone being patient with us and Davey during these difficult times as we’re working hard on our side trying to make the right decisions going Forward for everyone.

We absolutely hate we have to make this post. But with the circumstances were having to deal with we are forced to sadly CANCEL No Retreat No Surrender April 18 in Eaton, OH. This just breaks our hearts but truly believe this is the best decision to be made at this time. We have tried getting in contact with every lifter signed up.
