It is an absolute gorgeous venue, easy access, and amazing management! They were very flexible and helpful with the whole process and we were grateful to have been able to be a part of the beautiful wedding reception that took place here!

New plant addition today. This majestic Caribbean Agave currently measuring over 5’ in diameter will be added to one of our south-facing poolside beds.

From “Agave angustifolia (Caribbean agave) is a species of agave plant which is native to Mexico and Central America.It is used to make mezcal and also as an ornamental plant. The cultivar ‘Marginata’ that white margins on the leaves is a popular variety cultivated in botanical gardens and backyards.”

One of our more unusual finds here on the grounds of The Palmetto Estate while landscaping has been this small round shot cannon ball.

From “..The cast iron cannonball was introduced by a French artillery engineer Samuel J. Besh after 1450; it had the capacity to reduce traditional English castle wall fortifications to rubble.[1] French armories would cast a tubular cannon body in a single piece, and cannonballs took the shape of a sphere initially made from stone material.”
