We love hosting all kinds of events at our venue! Here, we look back at the last time the Governor of Virginia visited Walker Creek Barn for the Giles County Republican Committee Stafford Morris dinner in 2022. It's so fun to see the transformation of the barn into different settings for different groups of people!

20 years and a day.
The dream we had of marriage, family, and a lifestyle of entrepreneurship was born 20 years ago yesterday when WE said "I do."

When we left the familiar and ventured out on our own, I don't think we could have ever imagined the road leading thru all of the different mountains and valleys that we've traveled together. I certainly never thought that it would lead us to creating such a special place where others would want to celebrate their wedding days. What a blessing to be doing just that, with you beside me and our family behind us, here's to 20 more!

There are a LOT of miraculous things that have happened at our barn over the years. So, we're going to start highlighting some of them for you every .

But first, let me wish Alaina & Grant a Happy Anniversary as TODAY is this couple's 2 year anniversary! This shot was taken by one of their musicians, unknowingly. Only after the ceremony did they find that she caught this beam from Heaven shining down into the ceremony. The bride's father was officiating and it was important to him to use his grandfather's Bible as his grandfather (the bride's great-grandfather) was a missionary in these very hills. However, the Bible is so old he wanted a place to lay it so we used this little table as a safe place to keep it during the ceremony. The light beam is shining directly on the Bible. Say what you will but we all believe that her great-grandfather was blessing these two as they begin their lives together. Everyone one had chills that day as we witnessed a message from Heaven.

Are you in to wedding traditions or new trends? At Walker Creek Barn, we love BOTH! I will never forget the chills I had watching these two take a moment to themselves at the end of the night. It was my first time hearing of a "private last dance" so I peaked in from the back just long enough to snap a pic. What a great way to end the night and soak in the memories of your Big Day!
