Happy New Year, friends! I’m back from “vacation” and will be getting in touch with everyone waiting on a response from me today! Kyle and I skipped buying each other gifts this year for Christmas and instead bought an espresso machine and new countertops. Because of the espresso I’ve gotten so much done with such little time “off”, including a bunch of updates on my website! 😂 (Go check it out!)

With the holiday season comes many engagements and therefore many new faces on my page here. So if you’re new here, hi! I’m Mikaela. I don’t spend a whole bunch of time on content for social media but occasionally I’ll be on here to chat and share with you. Photography is my dream job and it isn’t lost on me what a privilege it is to get to witness the most memorable days of your life! My main photography focus these days is on weddings and elopements but I love family photography so much that I don’t think I could ever pick between them.

I run my photography business part time because I also have the amazing privilege of homeschooling my two boys, Maverick and Koa. 👦🏼 🧒🏼

My husband Kyle makes an appearance occasionally while I’m on the job but mostly he’s running our main business, 🧔🏼‍♂️♥️ …and working on my honey do list and cooking me steak and trying his best to limit my espresso intake.

We adopted a golden doodle this summer and I’m obsessed with him. Still not sure how to explain to people that he’s super chill after the initial tackle (we’re working on it). 🐶

I’m an extrovert who loves people and really loves Jesus and is obsessed with our community culture here in Port Angeles.

Happy Sunday, friends. I’ve had a busy weekend (it’s not over yet) and have a busy week ahead! I’m working on sneak peeks and galleries in between shoots while homeschooling and chauffeuring and trying not to resort to burning the laundry in a pile out back.
