This is what our daughter Courtney prepared using locally butchered meat and farmer's market veggies: two braised lamb shanks with polenta from scratch, fresh sweet corn and a red onion from a small Amish fresh produce store on the side of the road. It was a great experience for her.

We taught her well ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

Tuesday - Thank to Tara Rachelle at the new Aspire Day School in Radcliff for requesting the catering services of Tabletop Cuisine, LLC.

Also, much appreciation to fellow caterer and friend Aundra Lett-Jackson for her contribution to the menu. Her baked chicken and gravy was so good and went well with the meatless option needed for the vegetarians in the room ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

Wednesday - What a blessing it is to serve our community in this culinary manner. The menu for the Fort Knox Chapter Military Officer Association of America or MOAA was baked porkchops, roasted potatoes, southern style string beans, baked apples and a Hawaii roll. The members provide the appetizers and drinks.

Tonight's guest speaker was Mr. Jim Bradford, Deputy Garrison Commander, U. S. Army Fort Knox. Not present at Tonight's meeting was Colonel Christopher James Ricci, the new Fort Knox Garrison Commander. He will make his way around the area while completing his in-processing tasks.

Thank you to Joyce Kelly, her hubby Mark and the members for repeatedly requesting our catering services.

Saturday - Part 1: Thank you to the Ladies of Doing Something Fun coordinators Connie Campbell, Nora Nunnally, Jackie Collins, and Jeannie Rene Lett for requesting our catering services (Tabletop Cuisine, LLC.) We filled the tummies of women that collectively came together to fellowship, eat, and enjoy the fashion talents of Gwendolyn Thompson-Brashear, Jescanta Lucas, several others, MC Robin G, and local designer Tokie Cummings.

With the assistance of our bew team member Linda Blue, we served homemade Belgium waffles with blueberries, strawberries, and syrup, scrambled eggs cooked on site, bacon, sausage, mini-quiche Loraine and Floretine, and fried potatoes cooked by Aundra Lett-Jackson, who has her own catering business. Additional food was provided several local businesses such as Lee's Chicken and the Fort Knox Commissary Delli.

Today was a good day.

Saturday - Part 2: Teamwork makes reality happen at The Sweet Spot Dessert Cafe in Radcliff when Tabletop Cuisine. LLC, Kim Thompson, and Ashley Brown teamed up with the Lett's to create a special dinner for couples right here in our own community.

Frank and CEO/owner Jeannie Rene Lett, their daughter, and employees hosted a wonderful sit down meal of ox tails, pork tenderloin w/gravy sautรฉed shrimp, and Cornish hen paired with mushrooms, mashed potatoes, roasted brussel sprouts, peas and rice, macaroni & cheese, sweet potato casserole, string beans, carmalized baby carrots, a croissant, sweet tea, and lemonade. The deserts included chocolate dipped strawberries and a caramel and pecan brownie with vanilla ice cream. All of that was topped off with wine and non-alcholic beverages.

December 14th - We enjoyed catering the main meal for the regularly scheduled meeting of the Fort Knox Area Chapter of MOAA. The members bring appetizers, drinks, and desserts and we prepared the pork tenderloin with mushroom gravy, gsrlic roasted potatoes, sautรฉed broccoli, and buttered dinner rolls.

What makes our job easier is that there is a steamer and kitchen in the building We swoop in, set up, serve, extend hugs, handshakes, and kisses and then we collect our fee and depart as the members conduct their business meeting.

Saturday - the days of preparation before we cater an event are always daunting but the outcome is so worth it and today was no different. Congratulations to Bob and Silvana Junike as they stood before family and friends, local and from Germany, at the beautiful Brown-Pusey House in Elizabethtown.

On the menu: real plates, cutlery, and glasses, linen napkins tied gentley with twine, filet of steak, wild caught salmon, grilled chicken with a pineapple chutney, glazed carrots, summer squash, sauted broccoli with mushrooms, onions, coconut cream and onions, roasted potatoes, macaroni and cheese, spring salad with dressings, cornbread, dinner rolls, butter & garlic knots, italian bread, sweet tea, lemonade, pretty water and coffee. Mrs. Silvana provided the tasty assortment of desserts and bottled wine. We cleaned up, made to-go plates, and took the trash out.

Best wishes to the new couple ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

Also, thank you to Teresa Williams, proprietor of Creative Bliss Candles in Elizabethtown for putting together the Bride To-Be gift basket full of self-care goodies ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

And, thank you to Teda Cooks for making my new chef cap. Small business women ROCK!
