The Barn at Cacoosing

We have recently opened a few more dates to our 2024 rental season (May - September) and are accepting inquiries for groups under 100 people. Barn rentals begin at $500, depending on the length of rental. We are best suited for community events and milestone celebrations. We are not hosting children’s parties or weddings at this time.

It’s been a full summer celebrating many high school graduates, a few brides-to-be, a few moms-to-be, and even a wedding!

And it’s been a busy one, too, for the honey bees that have been abundantly generous, pollinating the fruit trees in the meadow, the sunflower garden, the butternut squash, and so much more.

Last evening we gathered with some friends for a dinner party in the barn, celebrating the gifts of summer and the labor of love in releasing children from the nest. Everyone brought something to share made from the summer harvest… peach cobbler, apple crisp, kale salad with roasted vegetables, harvest chili with butternut squash, roasted sweet corn, and more!

Feeling much gratitude for the gifts of summer even as we turn our heads and welcome fall. 🍁

This fall the barn has been hopping with festivities! From harvest dinners to birthday parties to a cycling event and a music-in-the-barn-fundraiser!

The barn is booked through the 2022 season, but consider us for your event next year! Now booking for March - November, 2023!

I’ve been wanting to share this transformation for some time…. What once served as the milk house for this former dairy farm now serves as a clean and cozy restroom for our guests!

The interior walls are refurbished wood from the interior of the barn, power washed and painted, to create that modern farmhouse vibe. And we couldn’t be happier with how this turned out!

We are booking events for 2023, so do not hesitate to reach out if interested in throwing your party here at the Barn!

It’s absolutely amazing what some people do with an old, rustic barn! I love how little plastic waste was made from this event! Homemade decorations, streamers made from paper chains, strips of fabric for table runners, reused items from home, and plastic plates collected and washed for reuse… all to make for a gorgeous, memorable bridal shower!

Last week we installed safety gates on the barn windows, allowing guests to safely swing open the windows and allow in the sunshine and views of the babbling Cacoosing Creek! The Barn is ready for all of those spring and summer celebrations! ☀️

Fire pit complete!! ✔️

Barn guests may now choose to have a fire set up for their event! For $25 we’ll pre-set the fire for you and provide additional firewood! Roasting sticks also provided. 🔥

This weekend the interior of the barn underwent a significant transformation! We pulled the bead board from the bay walls which will be reutilized as the interior walls of a bathroom renovation project beginning soon for rental guests.

Next we hope to take down some of the cross beams and open up the floor plan completely! Anybody up for a dance party on the barn floor? 💃🕺

It was a complete joy to have Carrie Kizuka Photography, LLC and America's Favorite Santa in the Barn for these amazing photo shoots! We hope they visit again next year!

I just finished up my last Santa session of the year, and I'm all smiles!!

Santa magic is real, and I'm so lucky to have partnered up with an incredible team to bring this event to life again this year. We're already getting requests for next year, and I'll share details as soon as they are available. I'll be sitting at my computer all week loading up on caffeine, so that I can edit these sessions, along with the rest of my weddings and portraits.
