Emily and Shane. What a breath of fresh air these two are. They have a love that flows, radiates and flourishes. Their wedding day was full of ease. It was a hot and humid summer day, so they paced themselves. They allowed for an equal amount of time for the two of them, and taking in all their day had to offer, which was lots of love and support. From Emily being emotional from even before she read her vows to Shane always watching her throughout the day to make sure she was taken care of, these two were just the sweetest!

Jackie and Lane had the most beautiful June wedding day. A little wind at the beginning did not stop them from enjoying it to fullest. A warm evening made golden hour an ideal summer night. These two spent their day being surrounded by their closest friends and family, being supported by the years and years of marriage experience passed to them by their wise Grandparents. Jackie and Lane brought so much of their personalities into the wedding day, cowhides and Jackie's favorite horses are just some examples. Thank you for letting us be a part of such a special day! Jessica and Trevor got it. When it comes to planning a wedding, so many details come up that it can be easy to get lost in it all. When we talked about what was important for them regarding photography for their wedding day, they said love. The love between the two of them, the love between Jessica's grandparents and the love for the adventure they were about to embark on as husband and wife.

The day was filled with so many picture perfect opportunities, all because they wanted to be intentional about what they wanted to look back on. These two completed each other and would not stop complimenting one another all day. We even told Trevor, "I don't think we've ever heard a Groom continuously admire their Bride more than you have!"

Prepare to see lots of photos from this wedding, because we are obsessed.

Lucky. We feel so lucky to have the job we have and were reminded of it this past weekend.

On a day where we fought against the forecast all day long, Brittany & Mike kept smiling. These two are perfectly complimentary to one another. Where one yins, the other yangs (not sure if those are words but you get what we’re saying). At one point, we heard Brittany say to Mike, while getting into a cute pose, “I look cute, kiss me”. It was the sweetest of moments and one of many we shared with them, their family and friends.

We’re lucky enough to see shining examples of amazing couples nearly every weekend this time of year. Congratulations to you two and in the cheesiest way we can say to two bookworms just because we know they’ll appreciate it, we can’t wait to see how your next chapter unfolds.

Rachel and Conner are a rare find - two selfless people bubbling over with joy! Their love is a testament to their faith. We were spoiled to get to capture their wedding day! Rachel smiled from when we first met her until their grand bubble exit. They are light on their feet, with their matching new pair of Nikes, and had some of the best choreographed dances we’ve ever seen!

There’s only one thing sweeter than the crepes that were served, and that’s their love!

To say Madison and Jacob complete each other would be an understatement. Introvert to Extrovert. Tall to short(er). In many ways these two may be different, but in more ways they are the same. They love their people harder than anyone else. They cheer on the Iowa State Cyclones louder than anyone. They love God as bright as the Star of Bethlehem. On Saturday we spent our day with this joyous couple and we couldn't be more excited for their future. These two kept us on our toes the whole day. From Madison's morning gift of a motorcycle to her groom, to Jacob whipping out his BEST dance moves moments after his best man spoke on how shy and reserved he was. The beauty and love of this day will ring throughout time. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Lawless!

We ventured up north this past weekend to one of our fave venues Pinewood Weddings and Events to celebrate Morgan and Nick. Goodness this place is impressive! Morgan’s dress was unforgettable accented with gorgeous black lace appliqués. We all felt relaxed and joyful throughout the entire day. And just when we thought we weren’t going to get any sun for golden hour pictures, it peeked through and it was absolutely magical! Congratulations to you both!

It is the type of session we don't want to plan for, but they are so important. Our pets are parts of our families, so when we get the news they won't be around for much longer it hurts. We are now offering Goodbye Sessions. When it is time to say goodbye to your furry family member, let us help.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Here is what Ruby's Mom had to say about her Goodbye Session, "When we received our dog Ruby’s terminal diagnosis, we wanted to have one last family photo with her. Jen came to our home and showed such compassion during our session. It was very cathartic for the whole family. We are extremely grateful to have had this experience and cherish those images."

When that time comes, we'd love to help capture those last memories in the most special way.
