It is with a heavy heart that I announce The Machaven will be closing as of December 31, 2023. We have had some really fun and exciting events during this phase of The Machaven. This was a dream of mine to open a venue and for the venue to have the character and charm of The Machaven. I did it! Although it was short lived, we did the best we could. It takes a calendar full of events to stay open and unfortunately the number of bookings was not enough to sustain our budget.

April 22 was a great day for the Wright and Quigley families! No one let a few showers rain on their parade. Our South Lawn housed a beautiful tent and gorgeous florals. The band rang out all the classics and The Quigley’s walked into forever! More photos to come…..

Have y'all noticed it has rained almost every weekend since late March? ( I know I have along with my fellow photographers ) Well, it almost ruined the ONLY day that worked for my client's cake smash session. BUT- The Machaven and Bailey Whitley Photography saved the day!

Meredith, at the Machaven, was able to get us in with a very short notice and Bailey was SO kind to let me use her prop. Like, I was totally expecting to rent it but she said its no problem at all.

Two of the kindest people in the photography and wedding industries! Thank you ladies for making this session possible!!

MICRO MONDAY WEDDINGS AT THE MACHAVEN!!!
Drew and Jenna Coleman had their closest family and friends over for an intimate and heartfelt wedding ceremony on a Monday. Everything was PERFECT! Their vision with black and white with a pop of color in their florals was such a dream. We thank Drew and Jenna for choosing The Machaven as the place to exchange their vows. It met their vibe with the Southern charm and picture perfect lighting. So if we post every photo in their gallery, don’t be surprised……they are so unbelievably awesome. ♥️

We had the privilege to host the CITI High School Hospitality Management Pathway on February 15. They took a tour of the home and grounds. Many had ridden by the home but had never been inside. We had the most fun teaching a Table Etiquette Class. Each student then prepared their individual place setting for the lunch we served. Our Bar Manager, Jamie Yell, spoke and shared tricks and secrets of the serving world. We LOVE working with students of CITI High School and preparing students for the future in Hospitality Management!
