Kris+Jacob just celebrated their first anniversary. Early on we knew theirs would be a most memorable event as the couple enthusiastically shared their vision of a ranch wedding with a sprawling orchard, a high-ceiling barn (new), airy garden aisle and spacious guest seating organized b . They also gave us the go-ahead to match their bridesmaid’s potpourri outfits with multi-colored flowers in season. If any couple could be as clear as day with their vision, they are. Of course whom do you except to have a clearer idea of their visuals that this family consisting of an artist (Jacob), photographer aka and a host of friends plus videographers.

So we successfully de-pumpkined the house yesterday 😅
We’ve been foraging dried leaves, gathering evergreens and collecting wee pinecones for our Christmas decorations.
I’ve scaled back on decorations massively this year. A kind of less is more in notion! But I’ve been seeing festive colors and twinkling decors in the shops and I am finding it hard to resist 😩

Bohemian and beautiful. This is the wedding of Zach and Alicia. The vibes we got from this couple, their family and friends are so genuine, open and sincere. The bride and us met a few times before the wedding to plan her florals. In that long period waiting for celebration venues to be opened up, we became friends and the wedding ended up as one of the happiest and for us the most appreciated we ever felt. We don’t just work with clients. We work with friends.

INTIMATE. This scene and venue is so unique we cannot help but post. hosts wedding ceremonies in the most interesting places. Around a forested garden pool, at a breezeway, under a bridge and inside a wine cave. Amazing how the scenery bring out the mood, the romance, the couple’s gazes. Throw in the little flower details and you know exactly what we mean.

BRIDE’S REVIEW. Among our many happy couples, Morgan and Matthew simply stand out. They married in May this year at the Lake venue by .weddings, planned with and a host of other vendors who came down to this gem of a venue; so close to Sacramento, yet serene, away from the crowd. So months went by, and then bride just popped this review. Scroll through end of post for her thankful words. It blew my mind that we made her day shine with her most specific wishes: white and simple, clean and green, fresh and natural, with succulent pop ups, and economical flowers. She then personally sent us photos with her review to make sure we are truly appreciated. We are lucky to have her as one of our dream brides.

WEDDING REDUX. When they a@d first wed in July 2020, they decided to do so in a quiet church ceremony with only ten or so family members as witness. See her Mom’s story in her wedding review. The second time was a charm, with dozens of friends, in church, followed by a grand reception at .evergreensprings! To honor their day we featured their vows in our previous post. Now that mom weighed in, we’re showing her colorful and meaningful reception (which we heard, had non-stop dancing and was so much fun!). Congratulations Camille and Jose!

WEDDING CANOPY. . I learned many new terms and cooperative concepts working with this family. First, that I had to find and recommend someone really fast, that knows how to install this huge canopy. It took up the whole backyard. Then we brought in the flowers. Two lovely mothers, a loving couple, almost a year of zoom meetings, and one very famous rental and installation team later, thanks we were able to roll out this scene (even the humble homeowner could not “recognize” their backyard!) and many thank-you comments later, our wonderful wedding unfolded. Here are some advance photos of our second-ever family production of an Indian inspired wedding.
