Opened in 2004, the St. Johns City Park Performance Shell is a multipurpose entertainment stage located near the entrance of the city park.

Welcome the Saline Fiddlers Philharmonic TONIGHT at 7pm to the William E. Tennant Performance Shell for the Concert in the Park Series! It’s going to be hot tonight ,not only onstage but in the audience …so don’t forget to bring some extra water and maybe some sort of sunshade!! The Lion’s Club will be onhand until about 8:30 serving up food and cold drinks!

Hello Week 2! Please be aware of the heat this week ..we’ve all been informed on your phones or by the local news, but we want to remind you that this concert series is an OUTDOOR event!
Fortunately, we will all be right next to the city park and its shaded woods, but at least at first we will still under the sun! So ….don’t forget your lawn chairs or blankets to sit on and maybe consider wearing a hat this Wednesday night to shade the sun a bit..maybe grab a neck cooler as you head out the door. Stay hydrated so bring a cooler or small insulated pack with water ,but the Lions Club Concession trailer WILL have plenty of water and other drinks for you for sale ,as well!
Our concerts go on rain or shine,heat or cold, snow or…well…we don’t have to worry about snow at least! We want to see you at this Wednesday’s concert in the park but also be aware of the heat and be prepared!🫵🏻😉

Okay..here is some more info on this first Concert in the Park with the Jack Clarkson Band! 7pm sharp this coming Wednesday,rain or shine ,but come early to pick out the best area on the lawn seating(bring a lawn chair or blanket), and grab some good eats at the Lions Club concession trailer and have fun! Good Monday morning ! We are just over ONE week from the start of the 21st season of St. Johns Concerts in the Park!
Things are going to ramp up here this week with events created for each week so you can get reminders of who is coming up next and make your plans early !
But to kick off this season we’re having a sit down with Bill Tennant tonight and we’re going find out a little history on the Shell from him , as you can see his picture below from an orchestra concert he conducted many moons ago!
And he’s going to talk about this year’s lineup of groups a little bit to give you all a little more insight to who and what they do, moreso than a simple,short written bio blurb!
SO…. Look for that interview later tonight or tomorrow to be posted …not sure if we’ll go “live” with the interview, buuuuut…you never know😉😊!

Okay!!! We are just under one month until the first concert of the 21st year running of the St. Johns Concerts in the Park Series!

Well…. Weeeeeeeee’re baaaaaack !
The 2024 Concert in the Park Series is only 2 months away ! Yes ! There’s been a lot of buzz on the local St. Johns Facebook and social media sites and we’ve received messages regarding when this Season’s Schedule of Concerts will be announced !
Hang on because we’ve been told there’s only a couple more acts waiting to confirm and slip into a Wednesday night time slot …BUT…it should all be in ink and announced within a couple of weeks! So …stayed tuned to THIS page and share share share the posts on this page SO many more will be kept in the loop!
Thank you St. Johns and everyone near and far who follow us here on FB and attend the summer concerts ! This should be a good Season !
