Summer Concert Series at Waterworth Park in Salem. All concerts are FREE to the public. It is the Best Free Entertainment in Salem, Ohio.
The Summer Concert Series is funded through the Salem Community Foundation through the generosity of local businesses and individual. From June through August, there is a concert EVERY Sunday evening at 6:00pm. We occasionally offer concerts on selected Wednesday and Friday evenings that start at 7:00pm. We welcome everyone to attend. Optionally, tickets will be sold for a 50/50 drawing and prizes
donated by our local businesses. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a musical Salem evening at Waterworth Park at the Orashan Memorial Civic Center. A food vendor will be available to purchase snacks and soft drinks, or you may bring your picnic, or just come and enjoy the music. Please note that alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the park. If you need more information, call Salem Parks Department at (330) 332-5512.
You may have noticed the yellow caution tape at Orashan Bandshell on the north side. The Bandshell was home to a colony of honey bees. Thank you to Mike of Foust Family Farms for collecting thousands of honey bees and harvesting the hive. The Summer Concert Committee & Salem Parks Staff is doing the “Happy Dance” in celebration of Pollinator Week as we found a new home for the bees to continue with their honey making and keeping our concert audience safe! 🐝 🍯 🎶💛🖤
Last night, the Summer Concert Series featured The Chardon Polka Band at the Bandshell. The band's infectious energy and incredible musical talents had the audience clapping and dancing as they performed classic polkas and popular songs. The concert showcased the melodic sounds of a Swiss alpine horn and 12-year-old Cooper joining the band to play the "Beer Barrel Polka." The Chardon Polka Band's exceptional show at our beautiful Waterworth Memorial Park brought people together on a lovely June evening, creating unforgettable memories!

It was a fantastic evening of music performed by John Reese and Backbeat. The featured tunes were a Stevie Wonder medley, Caribbean Queen, Boogie Shoes, These Eyes, Ex’s and Oh’s, and Brick House. We enjoyed the spectacular Salem Quaker City Band performance at the Summer Concert Series on this beautiful evening. The “Bravo Broadway” show featured the melodies from Fiddler on the Roof, Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story, and The King and I. THIS SUNDAY - August 27 - 6 pm to 9 pm, come on out to the Waterworth Memorial Park Bandshell to enjoy a FREE CONCERT featuring OUT OF EDEN & JUST ONE LOOK! The Eagles Band and Linda Ronstadt tribute is our final concert of the 2023 Salem Summer Concert Season.
Out of Eden is an Eagles Tribute Band led by Ron White, and Just One Look features the music of Linda Ronstadt sung by Katie Kirchner Gladman. These two features pair up well to present a highly entertaining evening of music. Bring your lawn chairs.

The Brightside Project representatives will be raising the American flag tonight at our concert featuring the Boilermaker Jazz Band! The Sunshine Bus will be at the Bandshell and open for tours to see the awesome inside and all the features - books, food, & hygiene products - available for local children on scheduled dates. 🇺🇸🚌🌞💙🧡

A fun and successful Salem High School Alumni Night! Highlights of the evening featured Jimmy and the Soul Blazers, Cars of the Decades and restored Frostop Rootbeer Mug. The weather was absolutely fantastic for the huge crowd to enjoy music, classic cars and friendships of our high school days.
It was a perfect evening to celebrate Alan Freed, SHS ‘40 graduate, and the finale of a spectacular Freed Fest weekend.
