CAD Designer

MODERN EXPO & EVENTS
Modern Expo & Events is a member of the Modern Display family of companies and is a recognized leader in producing expositions, trade shows and corporate events.

POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a highly creative and capable individual to do CAD event layouts and design. Our layouts are a critical part of our events and help with design, pricing, and on site set up. You will be responsible for layouts for all expos, conventions. Working well with others is a must as you will be working with the Account Executives on the job and occasionally the client. You will be part of the Creative Services team that currently also provides event design, graphic design, 3D building and rendering, and display and exhibit design. We are looking for someone that is a team player that is willing to help wherever needed but, their focus will be on CAD layouts. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 9-6.

REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience with CAD
A creative understanding of space planning, flow, etc.
Creative ideas and able to think outside the box
Work as a team and individually
Attention to detail
Self-starter mentality
Good communication skills to work with a variety of co-workers and clients Can complete projects with speed and accuracy
An ability and willingness to learn new software if necessary
High level of problem solving and creative thinking skills

NICE TO HAVE

Experience in ExpoCAD
Experience in Photoshop and Illustrator Experience in trade show booth design Experience in photography
Excellent technical hand drawing skills

Are you looking for something that is different every day? If this sounds intriguing to you – Modern Expo & Events has a place for you. We are looking for a Production Supervisor who will be responsible for the overall management of the installation and dismantle process of Expo’s & Events. This includes but is not limited to; project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards and time constraints given by Account Manager(s).

Additional responsibilities include:

• Supervise the installation and dismantle of Events & Expo’s.

• Supervise labor during the installation and dismantle process.

• Work with Account Managers to ensure delivery of client expectations

• Work with Warehouse Manager to create and ensure proper equipment allocation for each event.

• Work with facility personnel to ensure safety and compliance of rules within the facility

• Provide direction and support to Expo & Event team.

• Responsible for quality assurance.

• Monitor and report on progress, problems and solutions.

• Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.

• Implements and manages project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.

• Project evaluations and assessment of results.

Position Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Three (3) to Five (5) years equivalent work experience in project management.

• Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management

• Knowledge of project management techniques, tools and software

• Proven experience in strategic planning and change management

• Tradeshow and Permanent installation experience

• Knowledge of tradeshow environment construction techniques, rigging and electrical applications

• Must have good decision making, communication, planning and organizing skills.

Preferred: • Bachelor’s Degree
