We had the PERFECT weather for Nadya & Al’s engagement photos at Mission San Jose! And to top things off we had the place all to ourselves. Love the way the green dress fits the warmer tones of the Mission walls. We had a lot of fun running around, laughing and getting creative.

Well needless to say I had one hell of a time in Houston with these two! Lisandra and Alejandro are special to me. I met them at a wedding I was shooting for another one of my couples a few years ago. After that, I ran into them at almost EVERY wedding I photographed these last few years lol!! I shot many of their friends and now I’ll be shooting their beautiful wedding in Mexico this year. Can’t wait!!! 🇲🇽

I am still true to the classy and journalistic approach in my work. I want your photographs to show faces, moments, details and the not so composed.
I appreciate a great mood board with inspiration but I am against recreating something exactly as seen on a Pinterest board, Instagram Reel of Tik-Tok video.
I don’t need that. Frankly I don’t need anything to inspire me to photograph you. People are my inspiration. You as a couple are my inspiration. And that’s the way it should be. Lets create from the heart.

Want to add your pet to the wedding day? Here’s a quick tip for you….

Wedding TIP: Have a friend or relative care for your dog on wedding day. Preferably someone who is NOT part of your wedding party. Have them nearby with your pup in hand. Once we begin your photos with your other half, your pup can make a special appearance on a few of your photographs.🥂

Waking up this morning with heart full of love. I had the pleasure of documenting Olivia & Gilberts wedding day. Best way to end the year. An amazing night full of love, laughs and dancing. I couldn’t get enough. Truly thankful for these amazing humans and their families for having me be a part of such a wonderful day. 🙏🏼

No faces, just moments & things.

I’ve never been one to end the year with some grand jaw dropping post or an insanely curated reel showing y’all my flashy dance moves. And there’s a very good reason for that.

That’s just simply not me.

And just like my wedding work, there are things I won’t do because they don’t align with my love and vision for the craft of photography.

But let it be known that every year that passes, I am grateful for every single one of you out there who have taken the time to reach out, book, and just communicate with me in any way shape or form.

Yes it’s the end of one heck of a year but to me it’s business as usual. My energy is reserved for filling the cups of those who have believed in me. Those who understand the vision and direction when documenting their special day…without the need to explain myself as to why I capture certain things on a wedding day.

I want to photograph those moments in your life. The ones that will carry on long after all the reels, stories and TikTok’s are no longer around…when suddenly this life of creating for everyone else to approve goes extinct and now you’re the only one who’s approval truly matters.

That breath of a moment,

A space between,

An interaction,

The uncommon,

The unintentional.

The great James Nachtwey said it best, “I am a witness and these photographs are my testimony.”

A true testament that as photographers we must first observe before we react.

“Let every movement be soft and delicate.”

Those are words I share with all of my brides from engagement session, bridal session through the wedding day.

Which leads me to share a few other little gems that can bring calmness and tranquility to your day.

🥂Remember to breathe and relax. It’s ok to feel a little anxious and excited. It’s all part of experience.

💍Slow down enough to witness your loved ones around you and truly take those mental photographs that will stay with you forever.

🧘‍♀️Breathe and be grateful. Let your loved ones know how happy you are to have them share your special day with you. Whether it’s your mom, dad a sibling or bridesmaid or groomsmen, take a minute to look them in the eye and let them know what they mean to you.

📷Your photos will only grow more and more with meaning and love throughout the years. Remember why you hire a wedding photographer. We are there to document the day as it felt and to help guide you throughout the day. Trust that we are whole heartedly emotionally and artistically invested in your day as much as you.

Let go of the insecurities and doubts. Let’s move calmly and collectively together to give you the best experience possible.

Excuse the thoughts I am about to share with you. They come from a section in my mind that many may not understand.

I am currently in a space in my creative journey where I spend most of my days thinking deeply into what and how I want to express my work. So this may sound as though I am speaking in tongues.

Thoughts this week were:

I don’t know where I am going, I never really have. Another year of weddings is coming to an end and all I know is that this medium is what keep me going. Alive. Keeps me pushing to become a better creative and an even better human.

I’ve learned to read people and studied them through my camera. Over ten years of doing this and I still can’t get my fill.

The excitement of meeting a new couple, the unknown as to how a wedding day will go, the chase for great light, all to end with a never satisfying palette of creative taste. I can never have enough.

I am always searching for more within myself, within my couples. This keeps me awake at night. Nothing else ever has. No great plan, no great exit. Just what I want to leave behind. Your memories.

Karla & Peter booked their wedding day with me back in 2020 just when times were getting rough. They opted for a intimate wedding then surrounded by only their immediate family.
They hoped that one day they could have a bigger celebration with a religious catholic ceremony.
Fast forward to 2023 and there we were again! Karla and Peter both anxious and eager to finally tie the knot under the eyes of the almighty himself.
I am grateful for couples like these who even after all world has thrown at them, they showed everyone that love is the cure.

Life is a journey. One day you’re a fiancé or fiancée, the next you’re a husband or wife and in a few circles around the sun you’re a mom or dad.

I was sitting at my desk with a huge smile on my face browsing through all these photo I took of Diana and Jose. I shot their wedding last year and here we are capturing another milestone. I love to see y’all grow together as couples.

Ayleen reached out to me a few months prior to her wedding day. She mentioned her fiancé (now husband ) Danny was away training to become a DPS officer at the DPS Academy.

This hit home for me as I was once in Danny’s shoes away from those I loved to make a better life for my family. I knew instantly I had to photograph their wedding day.

Ayleen and I had a few phone calls where we planned out the days events and talked about how their wedding day would flow. Ayleen was nervous. As any bride would be.

Danny was away and she was missing her love. I saw the strength in her heard it in her voice. She was planning the beginning of an incredible journey and I was fortunate enough to witness the the love that made them grow even stronger on their wedding day.

Ayleen, my hats off to you. Danny, congratulations on the new career. I wish you both nothing but happiness.

Someone recently criticized a photo of a perfume bottle I had uploaded on here. The person said, “You forgot to photoshop the bubbles and the stem inside the bottle. Your photo would have looked more professional had you done that.”

And well I replied in a very professionally manner, “Get the f$&k outta here with your $h1t!.” 🤣

Anywho, I was not upset at the comment, I was surprised actually and laughed out loud on my own. But it did leave a sour taste in my mouth because I could not understand why this person had it out for bubbles.
