Aguachiles anyone?! I’m obsessed with the bright green colors coming from. The cilantro and jalapeño. If you know me you know I love colors and ceviche! The cold lime juice mixture mixed with cold cucumbers, onions, and jalapeños!Definitely obsessed!

Happy birthday to this big guy! The big 7-0! Even though he’s going to be busting ass at the bar tonight, I wish him a happy bday! If y’all see him give him a big shoutout!

This guy’s been busting ass like nobodies business ever since I was a kid while taking care of his siblings, our family, and my grandparents. He jokes all the time and sometimes people can get upset but he means no harm. He can drive you nuts but really just wants the best for you. All in all I wouldn’t be here without him! He may be my dad but he’s everyone’s extra dad!

Be kind or deal with me! Sorry Sly your face got cut!

You may have seen this picture circling around within our inner circle and you may have not. No biggie! We lost this amazing wise man yesterday. His name was Al. He was Michael’s grandpa.

I lost all my grandparents at a young age and the last was my grandma on my father’s side right about sophomore year of college so this is not something new to me. However this one hurts. From all the small interactions I’ve had with Al, it has nothing but short and super sweet moments.

We talked about this infamous plum tree that he really wanted to show me to find out it was the neighbors tree. He would briefly mention about his time in Korea and traveling to India as well as a couple of other countries having to deal with magnets - not sure what type of job that was but definitely wanted to hear more. He ate my Dutch apple pie with vigor and found out he was a chocolate cake lover unfortunately later. I got to experience singing Christmas carols with him where he would sing the wrong lyrics but didn’t care, he was happy and had all that Christmas spirit - loved it! He’s a snoopy fan and would look at the graphic shirts I wore and point them out a few times. Here’s the craziest thing, of all my interactions with him, I’ve been told he had selective hearing from multiple family members, but he could hear me just fine 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s all a mysterious on that one.

Our interactions may have been limited but they mean a lot. Especially when he reminded me of certain aspects of my grandparents who I’ve lost earlier. Michael and I are so happy he got to see us get married. I’ll never forget how we posed for a picture and he kept singing and waving his hands to pose. You also shouted that I was “a good one” to people coming closer to pose with him.

With so much spirit and kindness at 92-93 he definitely was also a great one that left us like the champ he is.

Rest in paradise Al!

This is probably the best me of the best tako poke I’ve ever had. The octopus was tender and just delicious! It’s going to haunt me as well. Gahhh 😭🤤

Tour photo drop #2

Let’s be honest here pineapples on any of the Hawaiian islands hits different! 😍😍

We traveled up towards the north shore. It rained hard intermittently and it definitely was something we savored immensely. The fried bananas at a local mini stand in the middle of nowhere we’re delicious! Fresh papaya damn man can we go back there already gahh!

No filters! I think the secrets out that I’m a weeee bit obsessed with colors…especially in the sunsets, the clouds and it’s different shapes, it’s just surreally euphoric! I just can’t get enough of it! This is what went down at the paradise cove. Tahiti and Samoa was probably my favorite performances out of all besides the singing! Woot! Legit give major props to the dancers! I definitely want to learn how to shake my b***y without moving my torso! However for the time being dancing like a wiggly noodle it is!

Cousin Fei fei was our guide with Uncle Frank as the bus driver. Bus number 4 rocked out on the way back with some badass karaoke!

Taking a break from going ham on poke. We went on a dope island/food tour. Our tour guide was Travis! I wish I asked you for your handle man!

But Haupia is most def one of my faves now. when I worked at Nobu, we used to make a Haupia custard for brunch that was delicious and satisfied my coconut loving feels!

1. Haupia malasadas: 😍
2. Chocolate vanilla custard cream puff: since they’re known for their cream puffs gotta have some: 😋
3-4. Lilikoi malasadas: yooo that cream is dangerously delicious 😍
5. The beautiful and simple butter roll! This was legit bomb! I’d go back just to get a bakers dozen and more! Fluffy gah! I need to do some recipe testing to make this! 😍😍

THIS RIGHT HERE IS FIRE! This one’s going to haunt me because it’s that friggin bomb! I can’t help it I always eat spicy poke but this one was beyond tasty. This is spicier than the usual spicy poke out there and there’s something about the heat that complimented this well and made this a hit.

It’s simple. To the point. No bs deliciousness. As a purist this hit all the bells and whistles for me. Legit Thank you!

If you know me you know I’m addicted to poke…I pretty much can eat this day night any day I’ll eat it. BUT the one thing that kills me is when the fish isn’t properly taken care of…bones. 3-4 pieces hey it’s all good we’re human but every piece in the salmon wasabi poke…can’t eat it.

There’s 4 different pokes here:
1. Poke bowl: California spicy poke/ and the regular spicy poke (huge hit.I’d eat they again!
2. Limu shoyu ahi poke: the locals favorite. Hands down would eat they again too
3. Salmon wasabi poke: tasty but multiple bones in every piece legit had me turned off to it…and if you know me you know I love salmon

However this experience has definitely opened my eyes for legit poke.

Alrighty this was pretty good…Babe said it reminded him of his grandmothers cooking! It’s got that homemade style type of deal but I got some mix reviews from the locals. It’s an experience to remember! On top of that no wonder I can never get the lilikoi lychee juice here in the states…it’s always sold out😭 but I know why! It’s friggin crack!

Damn man it’s been an amazing 48 hours! I got to marry my bear! There were so many imperfections that just made our wedding perfect. I got to see my dad smile so big, my fam get wasted at 11 am and just big smiles on everyone! We traveled on a flight with screaming babies and a passenger who wouldn’t quit kneeing my ass…😫 however we’re here in Waikiki and just excited to finally be here and take a damn deep breath. We’ve been so stressed with so many things that we tend to forget to live our lives….I couldn’t have done with without my family, my parents, Michael’s family and our bomb wedding party! Since I can’t tag everyone thank you Stacey, Domi, Matt,

Starting a new chapter, I intend to just remind myself to take a deep breath and live for the moment. Just don’t want to miss out anymore and be balls deep at my job….just don’t believe that’s in the cards for me

When you have a craving for bacon wrapped hot dogs with griddled onions, jalapeños, and green onions…but you can’t get them because those be poppin especially after a game or concert…but you’re cravings are so strong…yea this is what happened…

It’s beeen a looooong time posting! A lot of changes are a happening but when I have the chance to chill with 🐻 I get hungry! When you have a craving…you just gotta do it! Savory pancakes with cheddar cheese and chive! Need the protein so scrambled eggs with spinach and feta and some Italian sausage! I can’t help it if I dream of these things muahahaha!
